I started playing Dead Space a few hours ago, just got past the Hulk in chapter 4.
So far it's a good game, but I was a bit disappointed in the awful amount of save points. There where so many that I even skipped a few. Also the enemy types feel a bit unoriginal, but that's ok.
Maybe I just shouldn't be playing on the easy difficulty setting?

Eh, so? You don't HAVE to use them. The game just chucks you back a small bit if you die anyway, so they're only really required when you're turning off.

Well, that was the only brute I've encountered so far, so I called him Hulk cos I figured it was some kind of boss battle. And he was angry, and big. And easy as hell to defeat! Just fire up dat Stasis and he's a goner.
