News Thread
Lately I've noticed that there are a lot of threads concerning things in the news popping up. Like for example that piece about the nine year old writing his book.
So I've been thinking this: Why not make a sticky thread where we all post interesting pieces of news we find instead of posting a whole new thread for it(Unless it is very important or it's positive that it can spur up quite a lot of debate)?
So what do you guys think?
Maybe an entire section... I personally think that a section under general would be good.
I'm tired of rants going about un-categorized. It's time we put up, A PERSONAL SECTION!

Erm that sounds like there should be a section like the general forum but with the name news thread.
I think that's a good idea. Like, it could be the "Current Events" section. There could be all kinds of news, personal and otherwise. I like that idea.

it's because there is hardly anymore intelligence on the board and they decided to put something stupid as news so that you beloved people *cough* of the Spamz forum see how irritating it is when you post pointless threads.

Sigh most of the forums are slow moving enough as it is, theres no problem with people posting recent news events in the general forum and well thats what its there for.
If its movies/games/music related you might wanna post it in the media zone but otherwise yeah.

Moving on, there could be like three stories happening at the same time, about completely different topics, like one could be about an airplane crash, another about a new university and a third about an escaped rapist, if we had all three of them happening at the same time and all in the same thread, i think there would be alot of confusion. Im not saying its a bad idea or anything, its good, but it would be better as a separate section instead of just one thread.
I agree. The problem there is that we're adding yet another section. It's probably best just to give them all their own threads in the General or Off topic sections. It's not rally worth it to give it its own section.
