Rpg rules help me!!

ok so im pretty new so i have pretty much no idea about this site ecept for the castle series which is very cool! but how the hell do you play those text rpgs? i mean after you make your cahrecter what do you do just post something you do and wait one day till soemone replies? i just dont get it so anyone want to fill me in on most of the rules of rpging tell me please! the closet i got to this was on the stickarnea chat room which i cant get on anmore. anyway help me out

3. Please learn to use proper spelling and grammar, it's difficult to read otherwise.
