I feel bad for that guy.... not really, never propose on live tv in front of thousands, it's a recipe for disaster.

I respect that girl for - despite the pressuring situation, actually saying she can't. If I was in her situation then I wouldn't be sure I'd just say no like that. But I might not be in my right to voice my opinion too much about such things as love, as I along with many others here have very little experience in that subject.

Yeh ive seen things were the girl has no option too say No due the the preasure she is under at the time, so it must of been very hard for her.
Also most of the members on this forum have never made a proposal or been proposed too so we can only assume what we would do.

He had it coming. That kind of proposal is probably one of the most tasteless actions in existance. It's just a screaming display of what the guys considers romantic... I don't know who would think that is a good idea. That guy obviously.

Call me a hopeless romantic but I always wanted to propose outside. We'll see how that goes though.

Well, depends on situation,if that guy is already her boy friend, and been having happy time with each other,I think she will say yes and appreciate his bravory to do such thing.
However,if not,it's will be mess up as it's like you try to use public pressure to force someone to accept you.
However ,that guy is lack of research on the thinking of the girl,he is obvious do not know the chances that the girl will say yes,you have to have something like 70% before you go for it. Just like you once chat with her and see whether you want get married ,something like that.
I can only say "Brave but foolish". I do respect he have the guts to do so and show that he really love that girl(woman?)

I agree with you. It was a tactless and pathetic move on his part. As much as I feel sorry for the guy, he set himself up for the fall.

Everyone is infatuated with the idea that proposals all go ahead like a Hollywood scene, that is not the case. Many times people think about it, then give an answer. Many couples stay together for years, and are more or less married before making it official. Maybe it's just because I'm pessimistic when it comes to love because I don't trust other people and like to get close to them, I don't know.

However, I've never viewed a huge proposal in front of millions to be romantic. It should be a private thing between the two people and set somewhere specially memorable for the two of you. Not after a bloody sports game.

On the upshot, I love the commentators.

My stepdad virtually put our house on fire. He lit like a million candles leading a way down into the basement, and this was very late so the candles were the only light source available and down there he was waiting with the ring for my mom to come home, along with another million candles. I have to admit, that's probably the sweetest proposal I've heard of, personally.

It was funny when they said "We were just kidding about her saying no."
And also Tracy McGrady laughing at that guy, it was funny but to laugh at that is kinda cruel.

    Why?
Only word that came up to me.
    Why do it?

And I honestly do not care about there lives, and I only kept watching because I honestly taught the guy was going to be kicked in the b'lls. Saw the thread as "Ouch, that's gotta hurt."

Why also put this on Youtube? It has totally no interest as all.

    As I usually say:
The upside of Youtube is that everyone can post what they want. The downside is that everyone can post what they want.

As long as everyone learns from this man's mistake, its all good right?

The commentators were hilarious, the girlfriend was honest and the man was foolish.
