No need to be afraid, children. I'm only here to give you candy.
Been working on that for the last couple of days.
I will most likely improve on it in the near future.
Lens flairs seems excessive, and the shading isn't consistent with the glow. You also need to cut the borders so there's not as much empty space and I'd recommend changing the background colour to something darker to bring out the colours a bit more. Beyond that, it's just touch up jobs and I'll give more feedback when we get there.
I would, like Vic, suggest to do something with the background to bring out the difference between the green and the grey. As for the lens flare, the one on the E seems a bit much, while the one on the T is fine.

Thanks a lot.
I‘ll look into it!
Looks good, but as Vic already mentioned the lens flare really is too much.
So, just 1 flare. Or none at all?
I would leave just one, that one on 'T'.
Maybe just reduce the opacity of both? I'd leave the one on the T at about 70% and reduce the other greatly, leave them at say 20%
Okay, I'm working on something here, trying to take it in a bit of a new direction, mostly to fill out the empty spaces.
Dunno if this is going well or not.
And hey Vic, about the shading, 'you have any suggestions? Because I really want to keep those glows.
@Shadowtime, well lowering th opacity of the flares looks wrong, because it looks like they glow brightly but yet they're transparent.
I appreciate it, but I couldn't really make it work.
Hmm, I don't know then, maybe mess with the core properties ogf that effect. With core properties I mean the setting you set for it to be (brightness, size etc.)
Good luck and show us the progress
Oh and about your avatar: replace the whiteness around the diamond shape with opacity. I think that yould look much cooler, unless it mixes with the color of DQ
I know this is entirely different from the first one, but I've been messing around with this for the last couple of hours.
And I know some of you will hate on my for using brushes (splashes) but my artistic skills are bullshit.
Oh and about the avatar, I'm considering changing it anyways.

Looks good. The only minor thing I have to say is that the lens flare on the left (it looks like there's two?) extends a bit too far to the right. You could try subtly fading the line to a darker shade of grey as you move right, though it's not a big deal.

I'm still bothered by the dimensions of the picture. Above everything else, the biggest drawback of the logo is the empty space around the top and bottom. I quite like the cyan ink splatter, though, but the patterns are a bit random and doesn't seem to come from anything relevant in the picture itself. The purple triangle is pretty cool, but the inner triangle is obscured to a point where the remaining lines of it are hard to immediately identify, especially since they're already hard to spot at a first glance.
I would go back and create a few more layers of ink splatters in different styles and then pick the best one. This one isn't bad, but it does have a "slapped on" kind of feeling, especially when nothing else in the picture is cyan. Also, the top right one is very inconsistent as well, and I would smudge that out to a real splatter myself.
Dimension?
And about the empty spaces, I'm really not sure if I sould add anything in there or just cut it, my worries are just, that I'm afraid of adding too much around it.
I tried some stuff out:
1.
2.
3. (Hint: No Cyan border)

Thanks Shadow, Honestly I think I'll go with the last one too.
Just still considering doing something about those Cyan glows.
If i change the colour it looks off, but if I take them out alltogether it just looks empty.
@Rockonman, I see what you mean, but I'd rather not touch the lens flare at this moment.
I think the mini galaxy on the right should be a little bigger but it's probably too late to do that if you didn't draw this up in layers. But it looks fine. Triangle is barely visable, why bother putting it if you can't see it?
maybe?
This one's probably the best of the three, I'd say. Two things, though. First is more a suggestion that the triangle could stand to be darker. The second is that bottom left corner needs something. I'm not really sure how to fix it, but my first suggestion would be to try to use cyan flare from this one:Originally Posted by Tobu

This is where I have to disappoint you, I didn't make the background myself, but then again, I'm no artist, my artistic skills suck and I lack patience when I work with Gimp.
First, that's what it's supposed to, I didn't put it in there to be noticed right away, I put it in there so you don't really notice it at first, but if it wasn't there it would feel kind of empty. Like with music, you don't notice all the effects playing in the background at once, but if they weren't there it would sound kind of empty.
Second:
Some say it's fine as it is, you want it lighter and Rockonman wants it darker.
I'll keep it as it is, and I think I'll stick to the third one.
I really appreciate all your feedback, this was a bit rushed but I'm really happy with the result.
The current version looks good, though, I have to say. I was just being exacting.
