    Default Human-Ancient Hybid...

Could a Human and a Ancient copulate and produce a hybrid-offspring?.

Did the Ancients have mind powers? If so yes, but not in the way you're thinking.

Hmm I feel this question is up to Oscar, but hey might as well give it a shot and see if I'm good at guessing!

I'll judge the question from the current state of the Castle dimension, aka whatever Evils and Ancients that were cursed by the Wise One are in pretty sh*t condition. Fragile, all dried-up, lack of ears, nose and hair. They probably don't have any genitalia either, and they're total freaks - copyright Mullins.

The Prologue says that the Ancients are a "Archaic Humanoid race".

    But in what way?.

"Archaic" is just a very fancy way of saying "they're old as fuck".

I'd be pretty surprised if DNA found in another dimension was even composed of the same molecules in the same structures, let alone being similar enough to create offspring with humans

woah some fucking castle talk. I haven't seen many threads about the actual cartoon in a long time. I tend to forget this forum was built on a stick figure animation from like 8 years ago. It's kind of a miracle this community is still as strong as it is.

Wouldn't that be necrophilia technically because all the ancients are dead just walking?

    I don't think the Ancients are "dead-men-walking".

Maybe they are now. But let's talk about the living.

They did, right before it corrupted them and the Evils came into their world.

Okay, so they would procreate through corruption of the mind, not through physical insemination. It's a memetic process, instead of a genetic one. In fact, the ancient's are probably already offspring of whatever gave them the mind powers in the first place.

You plant mind-powers into the host, those mind powers then grow and take over the mind of the host completely thereby corrupting them and turning them into a "child".

What we need, are more eyes.

I always thought that "Evils" were just really bad and rotten to the core "Ancients" that became corrupted with the power and eventually lost themselves became inhuman creatures.

Tho i guess some of them must have.

This reminded me off the Asari bio page at that Mass Effect Wiki:

"Their unique physiology, expressed in a millennium-long lifespan and the ability to reproduce with a partner of any gender or species, gives them a conservative yet convivial attitude toward other races."

"However asari gender is defined, they are innately different from humans, for asari can mate and successfully reproduce with any other gender or species. Although they have one gender, they are not asexual and do in fact require a partner to reproduce. However, asari reproduction is very different from other forms of sexual reproduction. An asari provides two copies of her own genes to her offspring, one of which is passed on unaltered. The second set of genes is altered in a unique process called melding, also known as the joining. During melding, the eyes of the asari initiating the meld dilate as she consciously attunes her nervous system to her partner's, sending and receiving electrical impulses directly through the skin. A common phrase used before melding is "embrace eternity", presumably to help focus the partner's mind. Effectively, the asari and her partner briefly become one unified nervous system, sharing memories, thoughts, and feelings. The offspring is always an asari, regardless of the species or sex of the "father" and in the case that the offspring is of two asari, the father is the one who does not give birth."

I came across the same problem when trying to write in a Hybrid into the story. So I had one of the ancients sent to modern earth realm before their total annihilation, eons ago. She grew up on earth as an orphan with powers she kept in secret, but she grew up like any other humans did. She fell in love with a human, and they created a hybrid child.
