    Dear Patron Fragger,

I sincerely regret to inform you that your application is to be rejected on the technicality of missing documentation. Without it, we can not verify your presence as a member of the stadium in which these battles are to be hosted.

However, as a benevolent and fair Gamemaster I am willing to overlook this slight clerical error on your part.

    Best of luck, DrunkCat

Sirrin, post the link again. Make sure that you only link to the game after it's started. The URL prior is a sort of 'pending' url that is personal to you and your opponent. All correspondence games have this format: 'http://www.chess.com/echess/game.html?id='

It's your skill rating, and you're a class D player, pushing on class C - assuming they're using the USCF rating system - which is quite good. You're pretty well above average.

Quick question. What's the point of resignation? Why not just play the game all the way through? Does resigning decrease the hit to your chess rating on the site or something?

It's a recognition of defeat. Saves time I guess.

Hey Sirrin, you've only got 8 hours left to move. It's your turn.

Most professional chess players consider it rude to NOT RESIGN when defeat is clear because it's just annoying to make the next 10 or so moves to demolish the player. In my case, I made a bad move without thinking and I can't take it back since I clicked "submit move" and I became undermanned. I can't afford the lost of at least one valuable piece and I really couldn't.

I'm disappointed with myself and am now pondering on suicide.

That's funny; I dislike it when my opponents resign because I want that checkmate move satisfaction.

Yeah I never liked that rule and have rarely ever resigned from a match.
