So, can someone start a public news thread then?

Hi, am I allowed to create new Personal News thread?

Give it a bit of a wait until we've cleared out the Net deal.

While I'm a bit peeved by the deletion of the PN thread, my bigger concern is the account hacking. Is there any way to protect against possible future hacking attempts by Net? Because frankly, the idea of someone with the motivation and skill to hack into site staff and random member accounts at will kind of disturbs me.

We're pretty safe. The only reason my account was hacked was that I never changed my password in all the years I've been a member and I was a bit of a retard at young age so it remained easy to crack. If you're worried, go ahead and change your password but the website is plenty secure as it is. Oscar has been a busy bee securing the database, so it should be fine.

*Waits for Net to hack my account again*

Good to know. I don't think I'll bother changing my password at this point seeing as its pretty random and would be difficult to guess.

Just make sure to use numbers, capitalized and lowercase letters and make sure it's something nobody else can guess like birthdays/years, names or other obvious stuff. It's a good idea to have a password that's longer than 10 symbols, and if you have a hard time memorizing the password keep the codes in your wallet or some other place where you know you won't lose them.

Also throw in a few special characters and you end up with something that would take billions of years to brute force crack.

Yes. He even included a picture of that program for us to see. I think the cracking process took a few seconds only.
