An army friend talked to me about his services, showed me The Onion summary on it, and now I am officially bored with war. I guess the Modern Warfare games don't really represent true 'modern warfare' today.
inb4 people state the obvious that this was three years ago.

Despite the Onion parodying everything, most of what they hold is true.

War, in economic terms, can be good. Sometimes.

Of course, most times, it isn't. War has to be very justified in order for it to even have a chance, which is a wonder why the Iraq one lasted for a while.

I wonder that too.
But I hardly found World War 1 good in economic terms since it kick start to the great depression. And I doubted World War 2 brought the economy up too. I guess it depends on the situation and advantages it holds.

Then again, I'm comparing the past so it's not really a valid argument I'm making.

WW2 brought the world out of the Great Depression because it meant we had to actually start making a shitton of stuff like bombs, planes, cars, etc.

WW1 brought the depression on because of the economic fallout it caused. Germany was forced by the international community to pay millions of dollars, which at the time was an insane amount. And more.

But yea, in recent times, war hasn't been that good at all.

I didn't mean it like that. The guy told me how his three year services in the war was 'just a job' despite what other soldiers were doing. (Like actually fighting.)

I mean don't get me wrong, I know what these boys do. Hell I got a cousin in the army. But not every soldiers gets the same thing.
