    Default Available for Hiring

If anyone has any work available, a flash project, a mod, etc, I am applying. I obviously do all my work for free.
Voice actor: I will do all my work for free. I have a decent voice, can speak in various english accents. Can speak English, Spanish and Portuguese. Can fake French and Italian.
Scriptwriter: As in, developing a story.
Translator: If you want an extra language, I will most gladly translate anything from english to portuguese, or the other way arround.

I'm currently in no need of your services, but I'll give you a little advice.

Even though your work is free, you'll want people to catch attention of you, a bit like what you're doing now. After you do that however, not many people are just simply going to hire anyone just out of the blue. They'll want to get a sample of your work in the field, so they know if you're the one for the job. Like say, for voice acting you can post a voice reel to show us some things you might say in certain accents, moods. The same applies for scriptwriter, where you can post small sections of stories you may have written, or other ways of showing your scriptwriting skills.

Not really needed for translator as the skill is pretty much universally alike, except for choice of words. The only way to know this for sure is for someone to come up to you with a paragraph for you to translate, and then see if he likes how you did it.

Relating to what Kreek said, here's 2 audio samples from TomaMoto, the guy who voiced Sgt. Mullins in Castle Repercussions and other animations to give an idea of how you may want to present yourself.

I'm kind of interested in having you do some voice acting on a movie project, but i need some samples of what you can do. Something like Glenn Morshower.

Also, what equipment do you have for voice recording? Because it does matter. The lower the quality is the harder it will be to fix it into the desired form. Something off your headphone mic won't do.

A good idea for a voice actor/scriptwriter would be a script voiced entirely by self.

Contrary of many other voice actors, I'm not much of "I can do 500 different voices2, instead, I'm going to try and focus on something that is lacking in so many projects out there: expressivity. I have watched and played countless flash animations and mods and many of the guys that made the voices seemed not to take in account the sittuation the character was in. I'm trying to create some voice reels. I have an idea for one already: a male teen visits the funneral of the girl he loves and it's his time to give a speech. If you guys wish to share some ideas, please do.

Fact: Comedy based actions allow you to show off more forms of emotion then any other form. While things like that you mentioned might show sadness. What I suggested allowed the emotion of anger, fear, boredom, confusion, sadness, joy, and you can try fake heroic voice.

(assuming your able to do more then one voice) You do both characters and set up the lines and its easily able to do a massive number of emotions.

If you ask me, you should write a script, because this was just boring to listen to. It should be way more fluent, that way you could express yourself much better. If you want to catch someone's attention, you gotta make something interesting, isn't it?
Just make a script, speak fluently and attention is guaranteed.

Yea, I agree with Shini. It would be much better with a script. Don't get me wrong, it's a great start, but you just need to have a script to work out the pauses where you're thinking of ideas.

Question is, what are YOU talking about? Let's end this now, it's derailing the thread and going completely off topic.
