Jet's death was ambiguous, but it is confirmed that he actually died. Zuko never united with his mother in any version of the show and the conclusion to that plot thread was baited at being included in the movies, which now will never happen either. The show wasn't censored by Nickelodeon; it was designed to be censored with people only rarely dying of screen or whatever. This is the shows greatest flaw, but it's a kid's show so you really shouldn't expect too much.

Also - Jade - it was not me who posted the original thread, and if you had even bothered to search the forums you would've known that. It took me 2 seconds to find the thread and then the wiki page was at the top.

Yeah, I realized that after I posted. My bad. So in the end, I deleted that post since it was all just clutter. -_-

No Victory, the creators had intended on making Jet's death more clear, but it did end up getting censored so the death wouldn't be shown. As for Zuko reuniting with his mother, in an interview with the creators, they mentioned that It had been planned as part of the ending to the series. But in the end they decided they would leave it out. (So no Nick didn't play a part in Zuko and his mother) They did however mention that maybe at the right time it would be explained...but I doubt it will ever happen.
I'm not afraid of dying. I'm afraid I haven't been alive enough.

Then it is not so much censoring as much as them not working in a idea as they wanted to originally.

They should make an episode full of flashback of the old characters....that will surely be a fan favourite episode.

Considering the son of the avatar is mentioned, there might have one where he has a flashback of Aang as a adult or something.

There's a screenshot out there of Aang's ghost. I saw it not too long ago.

Also, Aang's son is Tenzin, one of the last few airbenders that were alive to be taught by Aang. Pretty much the series is about Korra finding Tenzin, learning airbending, and stopping the revolution against bending.

From what I've heard about the series, it's only going to be one season, which kinda disappoints me. Rabbi wants more Avatar.
    YES! OH MY GOD!
