Alright guys I got more information on the update, specifically "Hell"

Hell will be added in the halloween update, and will be a whole new world accessible through stargate like portals made of obsidian.

To make the portal, construct a 2X3 frame of obsidian, and light the interior on fire. This will teleport you to a portal that you can reenter in Hell.

Hell will feature tougher and quicker spawning monsters, as well as a new demonic fire ball throwing monster.

New hellish materials include bloody cobblestone that burns forever, and a grayish block that I call "stone of the damned" due to the fact it sports a creeper face.

Hell will also have pumpkins that one can turn into jack o lantern hats.

Hell is only accessible through portals, and cannot be dug to.

Oh holy Christ Clown....the update is AMAZING!

I just came back from Hell, and it was intense. There are demon jellyfish things that shoot fire from their mouths, and passive-agressive zombie things that drop cooked ham.

There are these coral things that give off light, and dust when mined (like redstone) and the blocks of light coral can glow underwater. And there is creper mud, it looks like dirt made out of creeper faces and slows you down.

And the worlds are now more realistic with biomes. I travelled to the artic and desert by sea, and I live in a grassy mountainous area.

Oh man my minecraftgasm is done.....

Edit: There's also demonic baby sounds that eminate from the walls and scared the shit out of me.

Just started playing minecraft today after downloading the halloween update and I'm already in love with the new biomes. The changing color of trees and the new sunsets are just beautiful. The fishingpole had me goin' for a good 10 minutes just fishing away. I must say that this is the most appreciated update yet. I haven't visited the hellish world yet, but I'm really, REALLY eager to go there and explore!

I noticed that Minecraft eats CPU and RAM even if the graphics suck compared to normal games. This have been bothering me before the halloween update came out, and it still does

My PC did NOT download updates when I took these screenshots. I'm wondering if anyone can help me solve this problem. The Minecraft forum is overloaded which prevents me from registrering and asking for help.

I never played Minecraft but I always wondered why the graphics are supposed to look like crap. Is this because of voxels?

My specs are great compared to todays laptops and standard desktop computers. I play games such as Fallout, Dead Space, Borderlands, TF2 and MW2 on HQ settings without lag.

Also, there's a minecraft option that lets you change how far you can see. The further you see the more computer power it takes to render the blocks. I set the option to "normal" but Minecraft ate the same amout of CPU and RAM when I changed to "far" and "tiny".

Last time I recall it was eight O_O

The game world is procedurally generated as the player explores it, with the full size possible stretching out to be nearly eight times the surface area of the Earth before running into technical limits
