Alright guys, I have discovered a rather amazing game.

The game is called Minecraft, a snadbox game inspired by Dwarf Fortress and Dungeon Keeper. It is currently in Alpha and is being developed by a indie Swedish game developer Markus Perrson A.K.A Notch.

When a new game is started, it randomly generates a world three times larger than our own. This world is covered in mountains, hills, lakes, oceans and has a massive amount of caves.

The goal of singleplayer is to live on the world and gradually become more and more advanced. During the day the player is free to explore unhindered, but during the night, enemy creatures spawn to kill the character.

There are multiple materials to craft and build with ranging from Diamond to Dirt.

TL;DR: A large sanbox game that promotes free thought.

The game currently costs $13.50 U.S and 9.99 Euros.

I found this yesterday. Notch is a rich man, only yesterday at least more then 10,000 brought this game.

    I really want to get this, but even a fool knows that this won't work on my computer ;__;

Biggest thing I ever built was a monolithic tower that extended 80 floors up and another 10 underground

    1 floor= 50X10 area.

Oh shit, exploding green dildo, run!

Fun fact, the creeper was a failed attempt at a pig. Hence the 4 stubby "legs"

Well I channeled my hatred torwards creepers by going on a massive hunt for them. I embarked late night/early morning and killed every creeper I found.

Total loot: 18 gunpowder, 5 hams (some pigs were unfortunate enough to cross my path) and 3 iron ore (from a small exposed vein)

Time to use my winnings for some TNT...

If you have time, and if its possible, you should make fleet hall instead.

Jedi, dale, why are your versions out of date?
I don't know if jedi did a screen shot of it or if he just found something on the web.
And Dale made it sound like he did a screen shot of his screen

Wow, can't believe I'd found Minecraft guys even here (this really is big).

Anyway, I got Minecraft off of someone else (Alpha ver 1.1.2) 3 weeks into the game, I'm loving it, I've created two forts each seperated by a huge lake. East of my original fort (built in the side of a mountain) are numerous naturally occuring caverns. I've sealed each sector with a door and named 3 caverns Alpha, Beta, Charlie, just so I don't get lose to which mine it is (also acts as indication for how to get home. Between the original fort and the digsites is a large tunnel I made through a mountain range (originally blocking any easy access from the caverns). The second fort I mentioned across the lake is more of the natural type fort rather then refined blocks. Built into a very shallow cavern it pretty much has the same stuff as the first fort (Hydroponics and a Storage area both seal with a steel door and operated only by a switch hidden in some other room).

The most recent development and possibly the scariest exploit yet was when I was digging down underwater in a attempt to make some kind of aquadome, I dug a little to far to fun into what I must call, a super cavern! That flipping place is huge, and highly dangerous! The newly formed, now, accidental mining digsite has been rightfully deemed the AquaTemple. I mentioned it was dangerous, by means you fellow minecrafters already know about, however there is an extra enemy quite deadly you probably don't know about. Even the game review show Good Game didn't get to the stage of discovering it too. They've been classified as the Green Globs. These GG's are deadly mainly because of there high resistance to any means of force. Fire a arrow at it, and it's split into four smaller blocks of green goo (possibly even more if you shot a few more arrows at it). Anyway, on top of that, extra known creatures have cropped up, too many for me to handle and I'm scared to shizzle to make any significant advancement, thus, I've sealed of the mine with a steel door with a sign saying, "DANGER: HIGH THREAT LEVEL ZONE!".

I'll attempt though perhaps to get into the mine again for you other fellow minecrafters to get a screenshot of the dasterdly globs of goo. Also I'll just bring you some screenshots of both my forts and ming ops. Good luck to the rest of ya, may all your digging wits bring diamonds to the crafting desk (plus gunpowder [TNT woot!]).

PS: I almost shizzled my pants when I first hit magma, almost falling in the process.

    PPS: Parralel universes ROXAS!

Edit: Back now, with images of my world + the dasterd Plastoids (renamed from Green Globs)

    http://img339.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=trainstationk.jpg

The Last 2 images show the plastoids creatures, anyone able to tell me what the hell they really are?

They're slimes, which are super rare. Nice find. Also, nice work in general.

And now for what I'VE been doing.

For the record, I don't always use MineEdit, but I have one world where I can just have fun with ME.

    Default Why thanks.

Thanks alot, as much I'm amazed to the fact that these wacky slimes are rare, I want them out of my mine. . . -_-. . . ANYWAYS, I couldn't help but notice from that picture, 2 things.

    1. Your version is later then mine, just curious as to how you updated it.
    2. Is that a creep spawner in your inventory, that blue cagey thing?

Plus one other issue I want to know, I've brought the same minecraft game from my first computer to the second, it ain't working because it's saying I need to update my launcher and play at least play online once. How do I fix these problems???

    PS: That's one deep ditch!

PPS: Carrying lava in your hand must hurt like hell.

PPPS: That's minecraft edit you're using, right?

Well my transcontinental railroad is now complete. It cost me several thousand iron and a few weeks to build. I'll try to get a screenie up soon!
