    A small town near E.H.T.F Base
    Africa

    There was a loud knock on the door. "Mr. Alseif, Mr. Alseif." The door opened. Kalas burst out of his bed, pulled his silenced pistol from under his pillow and aimed it at the maid. The maid screamed and raised her hands high in the air.
    "I'm sorry ma'am. I hate being startled like that." Kalas lowered his weapon. The maid closed the door behind her.
    "There is a man downstairs. He said he was supposed to meet with you an hour ago."
    "Hmm..that's odd."
    "What is?, sir."
    "I was supposed to be-" Kalas realised that the man downstairs was sent to kill him. "Damn it! Get out! Get out!" He raised his gun to the maid, who screamed and ran out of the door. Kalas proceeded to change. They are on to me again. But so quickly this time.
    He heard three gunshots coming from downstairs. "Shit." He ran to the door, opened it, then ran to look down the stairwell. Another man below looked up. Kalas ran back to his room and the man began to race up the stairs.
    Kalas pushed a chest of drawers infront of the door. He donned his long black coat and pocketed his blade. The door rattled, then kicking noises could be heard as the man tried to force his way in.

    Kalas looked up at the window. "Two storey building. No biggie." As he ran at the window, he pumped two bullets into the glass, then dived through the remaining pieces. He landed on his back on the roof of a classic Ford Anglia. The windows sprayed glass everywhere and his weight seriously dented the roof. Thankyou T.A.S.C. If it weren't for your mechanical augments, i'd be seriously paralyzed right now. Kalas climbed off the car and began to jog to shake of the dizzeyness. He then extended to a full sprint, reaching about 25mph thanks to his mechanical augmentations. Shots were fired from behind, but Kalas kept up the pace as he lost his assailant.
    He'll be back. But i'll be ready. Kalas thought to himself.
    I am not a signature. Don't shoot!

    "I'm going to fucking murder you for that!"

    Aw, a kiss, how sweet!

    I sit up with a gasp.

    "Easy there."

    I look up and see the same man from before.

    "You passed out."

    "I noticed."

    I crack my neck and open and close my hands.

    "We also x-rayed you as a precaution."

    "And?"

    "We found something."

    He walks over with one.

    "Take a look."

    I unroll the x-ray and look at my arm.

    "What is that?"

    "Not sure. It seems to be moving up your arm."

    "Wonderful."

    "An hour ago, it was at your wrist. Now it's at your bicep."

    "In only an hour?"

    "Afraid so, mate."

    I move my arm.

    "Feels fine."

    "But it's not."

    "You're not getting near me to try to get it out."

    "Might have to."

    "But you won't, I promise you."

    "It needs to come out."

    "I beg to differ. If it causes me pain, then I'll come back."

    A piercing ringing cuts through my thoughts.

    I clench my head in my hands as I stumble off of the bed.

    "Fuck!"

    Shapes and figures enter my mind, ones I've never seen before.

    The sounds stop as quick as they started.

    I stand up straight and immediately head for the door.

    "See? Perfectly fine."

    I walk out into the light.

    9:25 PM

    Shadow smirked as she walked out of the medical wing. “Part one done.” She walked back to the penguin lair, whistling a tune. “That was easier than I thought it would be. I guess me being nice works.”

    Medical wing

    A doctor was curled up in corner, rocking back and forth. “It was just a dream, it was just a dream.” Everyone was gathered around him.

    “Is he going to be ok?”

    “I wonder what happened…”

    “You didn’t hear? Shadow was nice to him.”

    “But she’s never nice!”

    “I know.” Everyone gave the traumatized doctor pitying looks and tried to coax him out of the corner.

    Back with Shadow

    Shadow skipped the rest of the way to the lair, ignoring the screams of horror from the people passing by when they saw an illusion of pure happiness.

    “WHY GOD, WHY?!”

    “IS THIS OUR PUNISHMENT?!”

    “MY EYES!!!!”

    Shadow smirked. ‘I’m most defiantly setting up a front row seat so I can see their reactions. I just have to listen to figure out when he comes back.’ She skipped into the room. “How’s it going?” A penguin holds the bag of stuff. “Excellent.”

    “Meep?” The penguin pointed towards sleeping Strike.

    “Get her DNA?” The penguin nodded. “Good, we have nothing to worry about as long she stays in here.” Shadow takes the bag and motions for the penguin to follow her.

    “Meep meep?” Shadow grinned and walked down the hallway.

    “Don’t worry, no one comes down here.” Shadow stopped at a plain metal door. “This is it.” Shadow was about to put her hands on the door before she stopped. “Almost forgot!” Shadow dug through the bags and found a pair of latex gloves. She quickly put them on and put her hands on the door. The door glowed green for a minute before it opened.

    Shadow stepped in the dark room and looked around. “Ok…now where does he put his clothes…” Shadow walked over to the dresser and opened all of the drawers. “Excellent.” She took out a tube of glitter from the bag and opened the lid. Muttering something under her breath, the glitter flowed out and went on the inside of the clothes.

    “Meep meeeeeep meep?” Shadow glanced at the penguin before putting Strike’s DNA on the tube and putting it on the ground. Shadow grabbed the bag before going to the bathroom.

    “It makes it stick to the inside of the clothes but will stick to him when he puts them on.” The penguin looked at Shadow with awe before following her.

    Shadow put the bag down in the middle of the room. “Here.” Shadow took out hair dye and gave it to the penguin. “Make sure it’s mixed thoroughly or I’ll turn you into a bright, hot, neon pink penguin.” The penguin nodded and waddled to the shampoo bottle.

    Shadow dug through the bag and pulled out a giant bottle of glitter. She laughed evilly as she charmed it to stick to the towels, go inside the toothpaste, and to rain down on him when he turns on the shower and sink. She glanced at the penguin. “Are you done?” The penguin nodded. “Let’s plant Strike’s DNA and get out of here.”

    Five minutes later, Shadow walked out of the room, a giant grin on her face. “I wonder who’s going to be more pissed…” Shadow shrug. She didn’t care as long she got a front row seat to the chaos. “I feel like I’m forgetting something…oh yeah!” She walked back to the room and charmed the floor so when he walked in, his eye color will change to gold. “I am so evil.” Shadow shut the door and jogged towards the penguin lair.

    9:.36 PM

    “No!” Strike sat up and gasped in air. She looked around the room, making sure nothing was out of the ordinary was in there. She looked down at her hands and saw that they were shaking. ‘Stop reacting like this! It was just a bloody dream!’ Strike got up and headed towards the door.

    ‘But…’ Strike paused when she got to the door and stared at it. ‘Why’d it feel so real?’ She shook her head and opened the door.

    The hallway was deserted. Strike looked down at her watch. ‘Odd…people are usually out…’ She shook her head and walked towards her room. She glanced down at the floor and saw tiny water puddles. ‘Wonder what that’s all about.’ She turned down the hallway, away from the mysterious water puddles. She stopped at her door. She put in the code and walked in.

    Strike glanced at the picture frames on her desk. She frowned and shook her head. ‘I should get rid of those someday.’ She yawned and flinched when she felt her jaw pop. ‘Just not tonight.’ She kicked off her shoes and fell face first onto her bed. Closing her eyes, she fell into a troubled sleep.

    (just a quick post while we wait for Vamp, nothing monumental)

    KD rested beside Vamp, her heartbeat slowly rising once again as the demon started pushing her once more. She silently mumbled something unintelligible and pushed back. She could feel the heat from her body intensifying. She groaned and shifted into a more comfortable position, turning her head to face the wall beside her.

    Mark looked down at his holstered pistol.

    I couldn't shoot her if I wanted to...

    He looked back over to his leader. She was clearly suffering from something. She was sweating and her breathing had become labored and shallow. He wondered what it was that was ailing her.

    Does she really have a demon inside of her?

    Mark glanced over at the group of women and children, who had taken their seats after KD had lunged at the man named Vampire-Jade. They were still quietly talking amongst themselves. Mark burned at the thought of what this mysterious man had done to his leader.

    What did he think he was doing? He had no right to pull something that low on KD. But, it did seem to calm her down enough to get her wits together...

    He pushed his thoughts from that confusing incident and went back to wondering about this "demon" that KD spoke of.

    **********

    KD opened her eyes and stared at the wall in front of her nose. She felt so tired...So weak. She just wanted to sleep, but she knew the horrible consequences of doing so. She looked over at Mark. He was one of the first refugees she rescued from the n00b soldiers. He and his wife had been taken hostage, and KD had spotted them being led toward the labs. She had saved him, but his wife was killed by the soldiers before KD could get to her. She grimaced at the bloody memory, and wondered if Mark had ever held that against her. She noticed Mark watching her, his eyes darting between her and Vamp. She knew what he was thinking and she she slowly shook her head. He noticed this, nodded with a flat expression, then resumed his protective watch over the others. KD grinned at him, even though he had looked away. She was very proud to have such a brave and loyal resistance. She turned her gaze to the women, who would look her way every now and then and were quietly chatting to each other. Many of the younger toddlers were asleep in their mothers' laps, while some were staring wide-eyed at everything around them. There were a few who looked either stunned or absolutely terrified. The older children, a few KD had chastised herself, were sitting idly beside their mothers or siblings, imitating the older men and keeping watch over their families. One of them, a young girl named Nioma, quietly crept up to KD while her mother wasn't looking, and sat on her knees beside her. She reached out and touched KD's hand, taking it in her own.

    "Miss KD, do you have a fever?" she asked. "You're hands are so warm..."

    KD looked at the child, her wide, innocent blue eyes completely devoid of fear. KD gave her a small smile.

    "Don't worry about me, young one. I'll...I'll be fine," she replied.

    Nioma didn't look convinced.

    "You look so different, Miss KD. You got those marks on your arms, your ouchies are all gone, and your eyes aren't brown anymore..."

    "I'll just be like this for a little while."

    KD placed her hand on Nioma's head and ruffled her light brown hair. She giggled a little at the rare display of affection.

    "Like I said, don't worry about me. This will all be over soon enough..."

    KD highly doubted her own words, but she had coaxed a smile from Nioma, and that was enough. The little girl quickly returned to her mother's side. KD felt a small glimmer of something inside her as she looked at all of the faces around her. She felt another surge of the demon's energy, but she readily pushed it back down. There was no way she was going to let it get loose with all of these people around, but she knew she would have to give in eventually. In that case, she's have to hope that Vampire-Jade was around to do whatever it was that he had done to send the demon away like before. Either that, or someone would have kill her...

    Driving a plane isn't easy as it looks.

    I made a stop at the edge of Saudia Arabia for some fuel.

    Finaly, a gas station but at the middle of nowhere, atleast i found one.

    After a few minutes, I managed to make the plane full but befor I go.

    I went to check for info. in the gas station room, I guess im not the only one in need of help seeing in the TV that almost all DQ members are in need of help. Atleast i found a gun, an AK-47, a first aid kit and some food.

    Now off I go.

    [Time: 9:56PM GMT]
    [Location: North of Algeria, North Africa.]

    Somewhere in the Sahara Desert, E.H.T.F. Underground Refugee Base…

    Up the Gladiator’s Ring observation platform, they watched the man called Lucky-Joe ducking for cover as the man in green’s clones surrounded him with guns; him being armed with a knife.

    Casltemanic.

    D.Q. member, Castlemanic, looked up at the monitor that emerged from the ceiling. Richard lifted his head as well. The Captain and the D.Q. member, Selina, looked down the window; Gerard leaning on one corner.

    Castlemanic, the five Chinook-V21s has arrived. They are docking as we speak. Just letting you know.

    The occupants of the observation platform glanced at him. From his rather slacked sitting position, Castlemanic stood up; combing his curly hair with his fingers, “Captain?”

    The man in the care-bear suit looked at him grimly, and then he nodded, “Take Richard with you. Inform Vampire-Jade that this Lucky-Joe is currently under combat simulation in the Ring. And make sure he reports to me – He got some explaining to do.”

    Castlemanic stared at the ground blankly. He knew very well not to worry about Vampire-Jade but he can’t help himself. They went through a lot together – The Northern Russian Sea-Base, the n00b occupation of New York – Pretty much; most of the operations D.Q. had sent him on. Knowing the Captain, Castlemanic is pretty sure he wasn’t too happy that Vampire-Jade abruptly used his commanding powers almost abusively. Five Chinooks and the amount of soldiers it can carry are enough to start a war in a small-country and end it on the third day – Compromising the existence of E.H.T.F. Then again, the other Chinook-V21s Richard sent were empty. Only a few E.H.T.F. soldiers, whom are not armoured unlike the squadron with Vampire-Jade, volunteered to accompany the extra Chinooks to man the turrets.

    Why did he need them?

    CASTLEMANIC, ARE YOU LISTENING!” The Captain’s voice boomed within the room, attracting everyone’s attention.

    He flinched, hastily looked up and saluted, “Sir, yes sir!”

    The Captain, still on his observation seat, nodded at Richard. Richard saluted and moved towards Castlemanic. He tilted his head close to his ear, “You looked worried…

    Castlemanic shook his head a little and offered him his hand. Richard waited for a moment for an answer. Then held on to it and closed his eyes.

    A second ago, they were in the Gladiator’s Ring observation room in the U-Level ten. Now, they are on the Ground-Level, docking hangar. A gust of strong wind blew at both Castlemanic and Richard as they walked towards the landing Chinooks. The ceiling slowly closes as all the Chinooks hovered within the hangar. Castlemanic glanced at the night sky as it heaved the metre-thick, roof – Creaking painfully; it sounded like a German King-Tiger tank from World War II. But the sound of the jet-turbines of the Chinooks masked the sound.

    Castlemanic watched as the rest of the Chinooks slowly hovered down, landing. He nudged at Richard and moved his lips close to his ear, “Vamp better have a good reason why he did this… Otherwise, the Captain will be really pissed.”

    ~~~~~
    [10:02PM GMT]
    Vampire-Jade emerged from the Chinook, followed by the E.H.T.F.-squad. One of the soldiers was left behind to watch over the passengers. He remembered leaving KronosDragon on her seat – Recently having a dose of Oxycodone. The pilots got out as well and followed them. He saw Richard and Castlemanic walking towards him but that didn’t distract him.
    He ordered Gregory, Sergei-Spawn One, to send the rest of his soldiers to watch over the Resistance members he brought back. Another E.H.T.F soldier, Sergei-Spawn Seven, went in the Chinook he had emerged from.
    “Make sure to keep the Resistance members seated.” Vampire-Jade began shouting orders, “Under no circumstances anyone are to leave their Chinooks until further notice. And someone get a stretcher and restraints.”
    Castlemanic and Richard finally came up to Vampire-Jade, overhearing his orders. Richard examined the Chinooks that were slightly damaged; he tapped on Vampire-Jade’s shoulder, “Resistance members?”
    Vampire-Jade turned and gave him a rather cold glare, “I had no choice but to bring them with me… Otherwise, I had would not be able to gain the mission’s objective’s trust…”
    Castlemanic and Richard glanced at each other. Castlemanic was more surprised than Richard, considering Vampire-Jade seemed to be in a rather foul mood. Castlemanic stepped up, “Vamp, so what did you do? Why did you leave so suddenly?”
    He glared at him for a moment then he fished into his trench-coat pocket. He pulled out his P.D.A. He took out the pointer-pen, made a couple of clicks before showing its screen to them. “This… The D.Q. Satellite…”
    Castlemanic almost had his jaw literally dropped – Then again, it can regenerate back if that would occur. Richard looked much more confused, “D.Q. Satellite? …”
    Castlemanic nudged him, “It’s the Satellite only Administrators and Moderators use to locate every registered D.Q. member in the world… I tried getting the uplink-device working back in Nevada but it was totally busted! Vamp, how’d-”
    “Long story short…” Vampire-Jade interrupted, “Victory hinted at me that he would give me something that would be useful for his world-wide sweeper team – Including myself, Coollady, Draunia, Mattbot and TheOnlyHorse… Apparently, Victory had installed a D.Q. satellite uplink into my P.D.A. but I did not have the code.” He pointed at Castlemanic, “Until you gave me the opportunity to read through Victory’s file on the team… It had a code and with it, I accessed the uplink…”
    “Then why all of a sudden you had to take a group of E.H.T.F soldiers and a Chinook then later call for four more Chinooks?” Richard asked.
    Vampire-Jade returned the P.D.A. to its main screen and slipped it back into his pocket. He replied, “The D.Q. satellite sent me a distress signal and I had to respond to it. A D.Q. member, KronosDragon, was in trouble. Before I got to her, we encountered her Resistance fighters. We had to bring them with us. Firstly, KronosDragon would refuse to come with us if we do no. Secondly, they are being chased by the n00bs. We encountered M-n00bs and n00b fighter jets, Russian model Kratz-112.”
    Richard looked rather pale, “Are you even sure that you didn’t compromise E.H.T.F. to the enemy?”
    Vampire-Jade nodded, “We had two hours of flight of no disturbance after taking down the fighters. I believe we are still safe…”
    Two medical-staff doctors brought in a hovering stretcher. One came up at Vampire-Jade and saluted, “Sir, what do you want us to do with this?”
    Vampire-Jade pointed at his Chinook, behind him, “There is a girl there called KronosDragon. Get her on the stretcher and restrain her…”
    Castlemanic had his eyes wide.
    What the hell is going?
    Richard watched Castlemanic for a moment then jabbed him with a finger. He turned to him then he realized what he almost forgot, “Uh, Vamp… The Captain wanted me to tell you that Lucky-Joe is awake. We got him interrogated and now he is under observation in the Gladiator’s Ring… Something is different about him…”
    Vampire-Jade gave him a look, “CM, I had fought with him – Of course there was something different… He has abilities, surprisingly.”
    “… And the Captain wanted you to report to him, now…” Castlemanic said, nervously; rubbing the back of his neck.
    Vampire-Jade trailed his eyes off from the two in front of him towards the Chinook behind, “I see… Well, before I go to see the Captain… Richard, is there any D.Q. member that has the ability to disable particular abilities of a person?”
    “You mean, disable speech, movement, abilities and all?” He had to make sure. Vampire-Jade nodded. Richard then had the answer immediately, “Yeah, we do; Selina. She’s at the G.R. observation platform; she disabled Lucky-Joe’s abilities while we interrogated him. I think she can help you out. What does she need to do?”
    Vampire-Jade gave a definite reply, “Disable the demon inside KronosDragon…” Castlemanic and Richard glanced at each other again. “And CM, do heal KronosDragon’s wounds when she has already been restrained…”
    Eh!? First you want Selina to disable KronosDragon then you want me to heal her. I’m confused!
    Castlemanic thought. In spite of his thoughts, he gave him a thumb up, “Gotcha.” Nodding approvingly.
    Richard then offered his hand. Vampire-Jade looked back at his Chinook, thinking about KronosDragon. He chuckled for a moment then held on to Richard’s hand.
    Vampire-Jade opened his eyes. He lifted an eyebrow once his eyes were set on the man wearing the care-bear suit, “Captain… ?”
    Captain gave Vampire-Jade an apathetic look, “Don’t ask me about this damned suit…”
    “Sir!” Richard stepped forward, saluting, “Permission to take Selina with me. She is needed elsewhere.”
    The care-bear’s headwear nodded, it looked funny; Richard had to suppress a burst of laughter. He offered his hand towards Selina as she walked quietly to him – Teleporting seconds later.
    Vampire-Jade looked down from the observation window, watching Lucky-Joe continue his combat simulation.
    Different… Indeed…
    “Sit down, Vampire-Jade.” The care-bear Captain sat down, gesturing him to do so as well. Vampire-Jade sat beside the Captain, glancing at Lucky-Joe. The Captain turned to him, “You got some explaining to do…”
    I heave a sigh.
    What the Hell is wrong with me?
    I slump against the wall.
    What were those symbols? And that noise.....
    I look around.
    I need to rest, then I'll figure this out.
    I rub my right palm with my thumb as I'm walking.
    There's something I'm not being told.
    I'm deep in thought, completely unaware of most of my surroundings.
    It's big. Dammit, I need to know.
    I nearly walk into my closed door.
    I glance at the nob before turning it.
    The lights flicker on as I sit on my bed.
    And what the Hell is this place? Why am I here? Better yet, how did I even get here?
    I sigh and lay down.
    Gonna be a rough night.
    KD felt the surge of gravity as the Chinook touched down on the landing pad. She had started sweating again, and her skin felt unbearably hot. She was fuzzily aware of Vampire-Jade standing up and hurrying out the door. She didn't have the energy to stand, much less just hop up and jump out of the Chinook. She could feel the presences of her refugees shifting uneasily around her.
    "It's alright guys...If they took the time to bring you guys with me, then I think they'll be okay people. Just settle down and wait for them to instruct you on how to proceed."
    KD took a shallow breath and sighed. The demon's power was growing yet again. She closed her eyes and tried to concentrate, until a new presence entered the Chinook, and it wasn't Vampire-Jade.
    "We're looking for someone named Kronosdragon?"
    KD opened her eyes and looked up at someone dressed in a medical uniform. Another walked in and looked around.
    "Wow, there's a lot of people in here."
    "There's more in the other Chinooks," KD breathed.
    The first medic looked down at her in surprise.
    "Are you...?"
    "Yeah, I'm Kronosdragon."
    "I didn't expect you to look so...um..."
    "I know. What was it you wanted?"
    "Oh, um...we were instructed by Vampire-Jade to get you onto a stretcher and restrain you."
    "Heh...Restraints won't help once things get bad, but if it'll make you feel better."
    KD called for Mark, who was at her side in a second. He grabbed her arm and pulled her to her feet, allowing her to try standing on her own. Her body had started fluctuating, her wounds fluctuating between being healed and being visible. He put her arm around his neck and helped her walk out with the medics to a floating stretcher. Wide belts hung down from the sides. KD didn't like the idea of being strapped down to anything, but she didn't have the energy to pick a fight. She only grunted in disapproval as Mark lifted her off her feet and set her down on the stretcher. She laid back and allowed the medics to tighten the straps over her arms, legs and torso. She clenched her jaw as the demon made another strong push for freedom.
    "I'm assuming you're Kronosdragon?"
    KD turned her head toward the voice. A man and woman were fast approaching her. It was the man that had spoken.
    "Maybe," KD said, narrowing her eyes. "And I'm assuming Vampire-Jade sent you too?"
    "Vampire Jade didn't send us. We're here because he asked us to come here." Richard said. Selina suddenly put her hand to her forehead. "It's hard to tell the difference between the two of you in there." Selina said as she closed her eyes in focus.
    Castlemanic folded his arms as he walked closer to Kronosdragon.
    "Dont worry, once Selina's got it figured out, we'll have you out of that stretcher in no time, feeling alot better." Castlemanic said. Richard turned to the medic. "Go to the other Chinooks and see if any of the resistance members require medical aid, get a full report before you come back to me, Castlemanic has this one. I'll give the leaving instructions as soon as you're done." The medic turned around and left.
    KD looked at the peculiar man who had spoken. She felt a sudden surge of energy from the demon. She strained against the restraints, clawing into the material of the stretcher. She had the strongest urge to break free as a bright red aura started to swirl around her body.
    Yes! Kill him! Let me free so I can kill him!
    What are you on about? Are you insane?
    I must break free!
    What? Why? Why can't you just leave me alone for a while?!
    I must KILL HIM!
    KD squirmed against the restrains, her body acting on its own. She looked down at her arms and noticed the red markings were starting to glow.
    "Whatever it is you're doing, you better hurry the hell up! I can't keep fighting it for much longer!"
    KD snarled and bared her fangs, her mouth gaping open in a silent roar. Her eyes started glowing with a new intensity, strong with rage and hate. As much as she tried, KD couldn't push the demon away this time. It's sheer rage and lust to be free was quickly consuming her. She hissed her anger and defiance.
    [10:24PM GMT]
    There was an awkward silence between the Captain and Vampire-Jade. Both apathetic men looked into each other’s eyes.
    The man in the care-bear suit broke the silence first, “Are you FUCKING screwing with me?” He roared.
    “No, sir… That is the entire report…” Vampire-Jade still retains his cold, yet soft-spoken, voice.
    The Chinooks took down eighty n00b fighters!? You were compromised, Vampire-Jade!” The Captain slammed his fist on the seat’s arm-rest – Except, the suit’s soft-hand made the impact look as if it was just a care-bear on a slight fit. He continued roaring, “You were only supposed bring in that damned D.Q. member, not the entire crowd of people to keep her from getting lonely!
    Vampire-Jade sat there silently and coolly, watching the Captain continued bursting in rage.
    Then again, as you have reported, that D.Q. member wore you out significantly while you battled that demon she possesses! Wouldn’t that mean you’re endangering the only hope D.Q. survivors have and all your fellow members here as well, not to mention my own FUCKING men!?” The Captain stood up and continued roaring. His face grew pink in anger, almost reminiscent to the light pink colouring of the care-bear suit fur.
    Still sitting in his favoured, elegant sitting posture, he listened without the urge to interrupt him. For a moment, the Captain huffed and puffed, wheezing for breath after the outburst; his face still oddly pink on his tanned, wrinkled skin, “Well?”
    Vampire-Jade nodded before he answered, “As I said before, we had two uninterrupted hours of flight before reaching here, we were not compromised but the amount of fighters that had attacked us is rather odd… And I had no choice to bring the Resistance along; the D.Q. member would not cooperate with us if I did not…”
    Then you shouldn’t have continued your FUCKING operation!” He slammed both of his pink-furred covered arms on both of Vampire-Jade’s seat’s arm-rests.
    Vampire-Jade calmly continued, “I must confess, sir – My compassionate side told me to bring them with us… They were being hunted down by the n00bs, which would not make us any different.”
    The Captain had a facial expression that almost look as if was blowing steam from his nose, “It FUCKING does! The E.H.T.F. is ordered to find, rescue and protect freaks who wield abilities beyond average human capability! Not turn into a charity shelter for those who are affected by the war – It was their own DAMN fault to attract the n00bs’ attention!
    A knot formed in Vampire-Jade’s gut, he cringed at the inconsiderate words from the Captain but that wasn’t conspicuous as his expressions shows nothing, “And about that deadly demon that resides in KronosDragon… Even if she is in the verge of releasing it, I believe she can hold it in – She is much feistier than she looks.”
    Don’t give me that bullshit, Vampire-Jade! You’re placing yourself in false hope – Even though you are beyond human capability, like you, she has limits!” The pink face turned slightly purple – The man was undoubtedly enraged.
    “Otherwise… If the demon does get released, I will take full responsibility in suppressing it.”
    Vampire-Jade leaned back on the seat and thought for a moment. In a sign of respect, he sat straight and looked into his commanding officer’s eyes, “Sir, may I have your permission to suggest reasonable proposals that may be of your liking…”
    The Captain gulped for air as he continued rasping. He was face to face with Vampire-Jade, bending towards him, his arms supporting him on Vampire-Jade’s seat’s arm-rests. Vampire-Jade waited patiently for an answer as he watches the Captains eyes shift left and right, thinking.
    The Captain got off the pale man’s arm-rests and stood up straight, still breathing, “Please do, I need some pleasing…” He took it upon himself to sit down finally.
    “The Resistance are around the total of eighty people – Men, women and children. I suggest you give the men and women work if there are to take shelter in this base. The women can be useful for jobs such as the infirmaries, mess hall and so on. I had experienced firsthand what training they had from Kronosdragon. For the men, they are all placed in your patrols around the deserts and outpost-villages. That way, you can call your trained men from patrols and from this base whenever you need them without decreasing defenses and work efficiency, have extra helping hands around here which and give them a chance stay here.”
    The Captain held on to his chin, supporting his head with his elbow on the arm-rest, “Go on.”
    “And about KronosDragon, that D.Q. member, Selina – I suggest you can have them both as room-mates. Also, give the Resistance rooms in close proximity with her’s. How effective is Selina and her ability to disable?”
    “Exceptional.” The Captain leaned back, relaxing from his previous fit, “She has no limits when she uses them. Her only limit is that she needs to get used to her target’s brain pattern, spirit wave… Whatever it is called…”
    “I see… I have one more suggestion which would be quite temporary – Including the original team you are sending to Dubai tomorrow morning, I would like to bring KronosDragon along…”
    ~~~~~

    Both Richard and Castlemanic were taken aback by the violent reactions of her body and were confused by KronosDragon’s words. Selina remained calm, keeping her hand on the forward; eyes closed. But there was an apparent sign that she noticed the sudden rise of body temperature KronosDragon was emitting.

    Castlemanic watched the KronosDragon aggressively tried clawing out the restraints around her. He shuddered as her glowing, cat-like, eyes glared into his.

    So this was the demon he was talking about… She was rather cool before… But this was just too sudden…

    The surrounding E.H.T.F. soldiers rushed to aid them but Richard waved frantically, stopping them. KronosDragon had an arm free and reached for Castlemanic’s neck. He flinched back, effortlessly avoiding her claws. KronosDragon roared with rage, her skin emitting a much more intense red aura. She broke free and leaped towards Castlemanic. She grabbed his neck bestially. Castlemanic attempt to pry her hands off him but failed – She was just too strong.

    Suddenly, KronosDragon collapsed on the sand-scattered, metal floor; moaning in pain, exhaustively.

    “Thanks, Selina…” Castlemanic rubbed his neck, massaging them. She nodded in acknowledgement and stood there silently – Suppressing the demon. The regenerator turned to the teleporter, “Richard, what are we supposed to do with other people in the Chinooks?”

    Richard shrugged, “I have no idea… The Captain has to say something about this situation…” He gestured the medical-staff members to carry KronosDragon and put her back on her stretcher. They slowly and gently lay the frail body of the D.Q. member.

    “How is it going?” Castlemanic walked up beside Selina.

    “Smoothly. The demon in her is completely silenced.” She said calmly.

    Castlemanic patted her shoulder and moved to the tired body of KronosDragon. She was still awake, just seriously exhausted. Castlemanic held on to her arm and closed his eyes.

    He suddenly opened them in surprise, “She has no wounds to heal… Vampire-Jade said that she had something serious…” He looked at Richard and Selina with confused eyes.

    ~~~~~
    “So this is the only surviving D.Q. satellite uplink.” The Captain held on to Vampire-Jade’s P.D.A. in amazement.
    Vampire-Jade gently grabbed it back and kept it back into his pocket, the Captain pay no mind to such action. Vampire-Jade, as usual, continued showing his emotionless expression as he talked, “I am not willing to hand over this uplink for you to copy or anyone else for that matter… Victory had entrusted me with this…”
    “But if it is the orders of the U.N., you have to obey.” The Captain said, smugly, “Anyway, I have an idea which can put that D.Q. satellite uplink to practical use – I have to discuss with the U.N. about it, though.”
    Still in his elegant sitting posture, Vampire-Jade asked, “Sir, what are your decisions about my suggestions…” He took glances at Lucky-Joe below, who is apparently winning the battle against the men in green.
    “I agree to all of your suggestions. KronosDragon will be under your responsibility in Operation Desert-Mole. You are dimissed.”
    Vampire-Jade saluted and slowly walked out the observation room. The Captain walked over to the intercom and began announcing towards the men at Ground-Level.
    KD lay on the stretcher, completely spent. She had felt her consciousness fade away in a surge of demonic power, and had been pulled into a dark void for only an instant. When she had been pulled back to reality, she was too tired to move. She gasped as pain filled her senses, and for a moment, she thought the demon was punishing her again. Only then did she realize that the pain was coming from her broken ribs and other various wounds, not her entire body. Her eyes fluttered open, her breathing hitched and shallow. She had a vague sense of peace, the first peace she had known since the demon's voice first spoke to her. She started searching through her mind, taunting the demon, calling out for it in her head, but there was no response. Just silence.
    Silence...
    KD let out a sharp grunt as a hand came down on her arm, right over a particularly painful set of cuts and bruises. She looked over at the peculiar man whom the demon wanted so desperately to destroy. He had his hand on her arm, and only then seemed to realize it was right over a wound.
    "Whoa, what the-?"
    "Get your hands...off me," KD wheezed.
    "But you were just fine a minute ago..."
    "Do I...look just fine...to you?"
    He didn't answer. He simply kept his hand on her arm. She was starting to get aggravated, even though she knew there wasn't much she could do in her current state. But in a matter of seconds, her pain started to ebb away. She looked down in mild surprise as various wounds began to heal. She felt an uncomfortable popping sensation as her ribs healed and snapped back into place. She laid her head back, resting. She was still weary, but her body was healing and her demon was silent. She looked over to the woman, who seemed to be just standing by.
    "It's you, isn't it?" KD breathed. "You're the one who quieted the demon?"
    (Insanely Lazy. I'm just advancing my plot right now.)
    Joe popped his head up and down occasionally to see where the man was firing at him. He eventually saw the man hiding behind the rusted slide. Joe noticed it was the same man he was fighting over and over again; this time he had a pistol, a Glock 18. The gangster had an extended clip; but that didn’t mean he wouldn’t have to reload at sometime. Joe quickly popped his head up to see if he moved, he didn’t, but he noticed that the man was holding his pistol sideways. Joe formed up two of his old Custom Colt and shouted out.
    “That’s not how you hold a gun you ass!” Joe popped up. He immediately got shot at.
    Freaking quick shotting…
    Joe, not aiming, stuck up both .45s while behind cover and fire at the slide blindly. He heard the clanging of the rusted slide as he fired. He emptied both clips, reformed the gun and fired both clips again. He heard the man stop and popped his head back up to find more men in green with pistols running towards him. They all had different pistols, some were .357s, some were Desert Eagles, others were smaller caliber semi-autos like a 9mm. Joe sat on the ground, leaning against the car and waited.
    ~~~

    A man next to The Captain started to talk, but was interrupted by the Captain, holding his hand up slightly to signal the man to stop talking.

    “What’s he doing?” The Captain asked a man to his right.

    “I… I don’t know, but they might kill him.”

    They watched as the men rushed both sides of the car and opened fire on the middle.

    “Looks like Joe isn’t so very Lucky.” The Captain said with a slight smile.

    ~~~
    The men in green rushed behind the car and immediately opened fire; hoping to hit their target. Nothing was there.
    “The hell?” One of the clones said.
    “Anybody know where he is?” Said another.
    “No idea.” Said another, many of them started to talk and answer each other’s questions.
    “Ok, but we got to find him.”
    “Who says?”
    “He killed most of us; we need to get back at him.”
    “Maybe we are done.”
    “Sure, let’s go.”
    The clones started to walk over towards the exit point of the simulation room; a small shop door at the far side of the play ground. One walked ahead of the crowd before they hit the other side of the street and turned around.
    “Fuck are you doing?” said one while most of them stopped.
    In the Clones hand formed an AK-103, He aimed it at the surprised group and sprayed into the crowd; they started to all fall dead, one by one. The Clone emptied the clip into the group before all of them were dead.
    ~~~

    The Captain looked over at Gerard. “The hell are you thinking? Why did you make the clone kill th-“

    “Wasn’t me.” Responded the man, The Captain looked back at the screen to see the man reloading the AK-103 while the shadow-substance started to consume the man walking back over the jalopy. He was completely covered by the time he reached the jalopy. The substance went dissolved and under it was Lucky Joe in his black-hoody and faded blue jeans.

    “Heh… I’ve seen most of his abilities I’m guessing. Should we stop the procedure?” He looked at Gerard, who just nodded in confirmation.

    “Alright, stop the procedure.”

    ~~~
    Joe looked around, 103 reloaded, and noticed the area around him started to get smaller. As the room shrunk, it started to turn grey and into a small, pure-gray room. Once it had turned completely grey. Behind him a door opened. He looked confused until a voice came over on a loud-speaker.
    “Leave now, and meet me outside of the prep room.”
    Joe followed those orders. He stepped outside of the grey room and the prep room to see The Captain in a Care Bear suite.
    “What the fuck.” Joseph said, trying to hold in laughter.
    “Never mind this, it’s still me.”
    “To be honest, you aren’t my commander yet, that means I can still make fun of you, mate.”
    “Mate? Are you British?” The Captain responded interrogatively.
    “I did server under the British SAS for a short time period… but no.”
    “I may have a mission for you. But first, I need to ask you one thing.”
    “What?” Joe started to slouch while standing.
    “What do you excel in?”
    “I excel in all kinds of combat. Front-line, CQB, Long-Range, Stealth, Night, and Intelligence Warfare. But the one thing people have told that I exceed in the most; Terrorism.”
    “Terrorism?”
    “Yes.”
    The Captain had a mixture of confusion and disgust. “Explain.”
    “I have plenty of connects I could use to get myself men I could use as expendable fighters. I also have contacts I could get plenty of weapons for very cheap prices. I have other contacts I have that could give me heavy explosives and un-traceable weaponry. Than some other contacts in corrupted military units I have to give me unnecessary equipment. Silencers, night vision, good gloves, explosive and incendiary ammo, bullet proof vests, under-barrel attachments, like grenade launchers, EMP rays, laser sights, shotguns, stuff like that. Those same contacts can give me other things like extended magazines, dot sights, scopes, butt-stocks and handles that can make the gun much more effective and comfortable.”
    “You have quite the reputation. But a terrorist in our group seems kind of un-needed.”
    “I could give you extra money, intelligence, and give the enemy a bad name.”
    “How?”
    “Example. Me and four other guys go into a government building and shoot everything we see. We kill mostly everything inside the building and escape flawlessly; but they find a weapon. The weapon is the one I used, but is also standard issue, used by…let’s say the Japanese. This nation; America; might have thought that it was the Japanese that did it. All of the ammo used was found in Japan as well.”
    “And?”
    “And the Japanese get blamed.”
    “But it could have been anybody.”
    “If it sounds like a dog and smells like a dog, what is it?”
    “A dog.”
    “But that’s not what it looks like. The only people who would know who did it would be me and the men I took with me. The American citizens would think that it was the Japanese and would beg for a war. If I killed somebody important, then they would think it.”
    “Smart.”
    “Mass paranoia works better than you think.”
    “How so?”
    “Vampire Jade started a small riot in New York to cover up an escape he needed. That same riot caused more riots… and more riots… and so on and so on until full blown anarchy happened. Somebody figured out that it was a DQ member… and that a few more DQ Soldiers killed off a few rioters. They formed up a group called DQK which became a small group of people who wanted to kill DQ Members."
    Joe stopped for breath, and continued.
    "A man named ‘S’ showed up and becomes the ‘Preacher’ of the group. He pronounced against DQ, calling us evil. DQ became Public Enemy Number One in the citizens’ eyes; but the few nations in the UN knew that we weren’t. Mass killings happened all over New York; Salem-Witch-Trial-Style killings happen, anything accused of a DQ Member dies. DQK now has a new leader, ‘S’. ‘S’ probably had higher ups, people who could get him connections to T.A.S.C and the n00bs. Now those higher ups could be anything, but whatever they are, they made the DQK into the largest Para-Military group I’ve seen since back in 2016 when the Al-Lafads were top dog in Iraq.” Joe said, winded.
    “I see.”
    “One riot. One small riot which wouldn’t even classify as a Brazilian Soccer brawl, caused more riots, and more, and more and more until… boom. Now, if you haven’t known, I ended up killing ‘S’ in New York when he killed my daughter.”
    “Alright. Now I need to find a mission I could do for you. Shower up, buddy; you smell.”
    “I haven’t eaten since the last time I died, either. I’m kind of hungry.”
    “Whatever. Just freshen up.”
    “Room?”
    The Captain threw Joe a pair a keys and attached to in a key-card.
    “The Key-Card unlocks your room and the keys open up the two closets in your room.”
    “Nice; how did you get me a room so fast?”
    “It belonged to a soldier you killed. Down this hall and take lefts whenever you can until you reach room 262.”
    “Ah, ok.” Joe stopped there.
    Wouldn’t want to make Mister Funshine Bear any angrier.
    Joe walked down the hall, saying back at the The Captain; who was walking the other way.
    “See ya later, Tenderheart Bear.” He said, smirking. By the time The Captain looked back to scream at him, but Joe was already gone.
    You are such an ass.
    Meh, he deserves it.
    (Vampire-Jade left the room already - Edit that out. Also, I like the idea that DQK was just some anti-DQ group until the guys in Germany used that title. So it's canon. And what fight?!)
