Hey.
Some of you may have noticed I've been away last week. I came home from my holidays in Tunisia today. I went back to working on Castle right away so don't worry
Also, I'm posting this out of curiosity for what kind of future tutorials you'd like to see? More beginner firendly ones or maybe something advanced? The tutorials section hasn't been updated for some time now, so please throw in your suggestions on things you'd like to see in there :)
See you.

Welcome back!!! How was your trip? (lol)
Anyway, what I really love to see on the tutorials is how to make shots so it looks like the camera is rotating, like, for example when we see a camera rotation of Ray Williams staring down the corridor in Reper part A.
That would be kooool as

Some questions on your suggestions.
Mouth - Do you mean lipsync or just how to draw a mouth? I still have some problems with lipsync myself so that would probably not be possible for now.
Particles - What? Can you develop that?
Impact - Need to know what you really mean here as well.

I general tut on drawing stickmen would be great.

I think the Cinematic and walking tutorials are probably the best idea, the others are too specific to your style, IMHO.

I think by "Impact" he meant physical impact as in the impact of a gun, explosion, fall, etc.
I think many here at DQ wold appreciate a tutorial on perspectives and useful angles. Its just one of those things people didn't know they desperately were in need of.

Hahaha, I think this one would go under, "even a absolute noob can do this" rating, I mean seriously I never EVER get bored of flash animations. For example, one out of the possible hundreds I've watched again and again and AGAIN would be the Castle series or Drunken stick:P

July 10th, 2009, 06:22 AM
well first you have to be able to make 2 min without getting bored >_>
...i think hes talking about making it...

Teach the basics, it's the hardest to come about.
Basics are in :
- Smoothness ( Not choppy )
- Easing ( From fast to slow, slow to fast )
- Anticipation ( He bends down and you're anticipating a jump )
- Holding a gun ( Some animators can't even do it right )
- Deaths ( Some animators can't even animate a death scene properly )
- Fingers ( like holding a handle, or drinking a drink, or even putting your hands on the table )
- Hotkeys ( F6 for next frame, F5 for next clear frame, F7 for next blank frame etc. )
Do that and you'll make the best tutorial ever, really.

I'd very much like to see in a tut:
Camera Angles
People movement
Fingers...(or hands in general) they're a bitch :(

Technically, it's impossible, cause you WILL get bored of it. And then after a while, you'll feel motivated to continue.
