View Full Version : [CASTLE] Plot Hole

Thunder

Look, I'm sure I'm missing something completely obvious here, but let me get my version of events out.

Bridge breaks.

Boomer's squad falls.

One of the soldiers is mauled by the invisible arms.

Mullins' First-Person view of Droners and a pillar that looks suspiciously like the stand in Castle 2.

Mullins' view of Droners grabbing his arms.

Castle Repercussions Part C starts with Mullins punching a Droner and escaping.

What I see here, is a freakin' HUGE plot hole(s), almost as big as the one in Jurassic Park 2 (read: The T-Rex locked ITSELF back in?). How did They survive the fall, even is Castle 3 shows them climbing? What's at the bottom of that bottomless pit? How did they end up around the Droners? Where did the rest of the squad go? And, most importantly, WHERE THE FUCK IS BOOMER?!

I'm sure there's a reason Oscar's not telling us something, but my curiosity is DEFINETLY aroused.

Yeah.

Boomer's squad falls.
Probably standing on the piece of the bridge; then they grabbed onto the rock.

One of the soldiers is mauled by the invisible arms.
I thought that was weird too. Maybe it happened on the way down, or when he was with Boomer at some point. Remember there was a dead guy with Boomer's squad at the end of the Castle III credits.

Mullins' First-Person view of Droners and a pillar that looks suspiciously like the stand in Castle 2.
Not sure where he could be. This was when he got separated from Boomer, most likely. Not sure where he is though.

Mullins' view of Droners grabbing his arms.
Gasp, he's in a fight.

Castle Repercussions Part C starts with Mullins punching a Droner and escaping.
Maybe he broke free.

That dead guy was the soldier knocked over the bridge by a flying demon.

It may be one of Boomer's squad. Could be either Roberts or that other guy. We're all not sure what happened exactly in that flashback.

That's the point of this thread.

Wait, why are the red eyed demons called droners?

Yes, the flashback is weird. We don't what happened back there. As I recall, it looked like Mullins was the guy he lost his footing. Either way, Mullins might have gotten seperated from the rest at the bottom of the bottomless pit.

Hm, I guess the soldier being mauled against brick wall is one they found. That's the only thing I can say, I hope missing pieces will be filled in part D

So does everyone else.

Let's just wait and see.

Life is about waiting.

I've watched that bit after the credits of Part D again. It shows Boomer, three soldiers and a dead one.

So one of them could hav been mauly-man, and the other three are Mullins, Roberts and SOG.

Then you hear the growl, which could be anything. I think I may have cleared things up a bit here.

*EDIT*

I've also watched the Rep Teaser again. It shows NO footage from Rep D.

Oscar's keeping it a big secret.

Damn, watch flashback again.
Before the zombies and after the fall you see Mullins in a room with bricks. He walks out and then is seen whacked by a tentacle in a big room with holes. Thre he could fall down to some droners (which we see the next) and try to fight.
Obvious!

loads of soldiers got mauled by invisible arms, maybe we're just seeing the view of someone getting mauled from the point of view of mullens during Castle III.

So far, the flashback clips are usually in order. So the invisible arm attack would of happened after they climbed down the cliff.

Anyway, if Mullins got separated from the others in a fight, then he wouldn't know if they were alive or not. So for all ye people saying "He didn't say the others were dead, so they're ok!". Mullins doesn't know if they're alright or not, and if he does, he probably doesn't want to scare Ray any more than he already is.

Why are we calling the red-eyed demons droners?

Dude. You just invented a far more efficient way to verbally kick ass than the one I was using before using basic VBulletin tools.

I hope you haven't patented it yet.

Hmm... Well gee, had it occour that that guy who was attacked by that Tenticled was actually Mullins being attacked? He strayed from the group if I recalled.

Look at Raven's first post when he said something about the invisible tenticle monster attacking one of the soldiers.

That dead soldier who Boomer's squad discovered is the guy knocked over a flying demon.

Wait, why are the red eyed demons called droners?

They just are. Ask Oscar.

You do realise we're looking out of Mullins' eyes right? So how can that be him?

heres the plot of the Flashback clearly:

At the bridge break, John Wayne I mean MULLINS!xD sees Boomer jumping toward them on the debris.

The squad falls down and Boomer is going :eek2:

A soldier is seen being impaled by an arm.

Mullins ventures into a dark door.

A soldier runs toward Mullins and is spooked by an arm.

Mullins ends up in the room with the droners and etc. etc. Part C beings!

U got a point there.Anyway the soldier who is smashed up by the incivible arm is not the one who already was dead becuase he is moving his arms and legs and how the hell can a dead soldier move if he is dead?

Shayphis
April 25th, 2009, 06:50 PM
it wouldn't count as dead if he were moving. It would be more about to die soldier.
