[FLASH] Muzzle-Flash and Explosion Test

I tried my hand at making a muzzle

flash, and an explosion like Oscar does in Castle III and Slakt. :)
Here

it is, it may lag a little bit so you might want to turn down the quality if

you don't have a good computer. :x

Ok your

bigest mistake. Wehn he fired only one arm moved.
2. the explosion needs

to have more smoke infront of it :)

It was shit.

It lagged, was jumpy, (despite even after being switched to low

quality)

The Flash was just an ellipse, not an actual flash, and

contained no 'flash' texture. The lighting of his body was also plain and

unrealistic.

The gun, is obviously, not yours. It looks ALOT like the

one from the smosh weapons pack. Please, give credit where due.

As for

the explosion, it slightly resembled an explosion, but that was it, Put more

texture, lines, and shape into it, give it more transparency, and interaction

with its surroundings such as the background. To me it looked like a heap of

tweened circles/ellipses.

Learn to animate, learn to do effects and

learn some common sense, ok?

Oh and anyone who feels I'm going tough

on him; He's new, and despite how new someone is I'm not going to go easy

or soft on them for that reason. They need to learn the hard way that its

going to take more than just hard work to make a masterpiece. They're not

going to earn my praise until its actually worth giving. Making something

crappy and expecting everyone to say 'its a masterpiece' simply caus

they're new, is the first step to becoming a bad animator. You're not

helping people by lying to them. :P

I thought it was ok, the background even though from

the tut was pretty good, iIF the gun WAS his its pretty good but i think the

explosion shoulda been done with less flash, more fire and smoke

the main problem was

theat the gunfire was not random enough and you did not put much texture into

it

with the explosion i think its a good resemblence of oscars, but

the flame (orange stuff) should have had a bit mor smoke ontop of it, the

colour was also a bit (just a bit) too solid, try adding different shades of

the colour.

other than that well done, and id love to see this flash

completed, and netrosis is just in HIS period, so ignor him

were all nubs once even oscar yea it was a lil poo but still not da worst

ever - lagged prehaps get rid of all da glow effects and yea ur explosion

lacked realism.... ur gun was good - despite the fact it was most proberly

wow you guys can get pretty harsh around here. I didn't see

anythin wrong with it other then the body not moving. THAT WAS GOOD! KEEP THE

i dont get how it was so bad! the only thing that was bad

was the gun and the slowness of it all! i mean i cant see anything else wrong

with it! well the background was a bit plain and the explosion a bit crap but

it is pretty cool! 7/10!

Seriously, if most of it was yourd I would of liked it better.

It lagged alot, even on low quality. It was all jumpy and the explosion could

of beenbetter... ALOT better (more fire and smoke, try photoshopping)


2/10... That's the truth. Try and get better...
