It would be nice to have a section of the board free from n00bs, where only those who've:

1.) Been here for at least three months.
2.) Proven not to be an ass.
3.) Proven to use correct grammar to the extent of their ability.

Could post and view. This would add a nice section for those who are becoming increasingly frustrated with the n00bs running around, and want the small community DQ used to be back. Just look at MMC, that left completely because of the n00bs.

Who's with me?

I think that's a really great idea.Well I havent been here for a while though , but I think some members may be tired of the newcomers which are being a tad "annoying" , So you got my vote.:3

Those boards always become barren wastelands. No.

Oh yeah, because we need a bigger gap between newcomers and old timers, there just isn't enough awkward sterotypes and harassment occouring on the board. I know! I know! We should change the newbie title to "Not worth a damn", just so they really understand the message we're trying to convey here.

It might be a good idea to put up banners saying "Because 90% of out members won't be posting in the regular forum, in fear of catching the NEWB, please don't join at all. Thank you"

I'll make the banner!

I half agree and half don't.
part of me says that it would be relaxing to get away from them to have some quality time with the real members of DQ.

the other part agrees with victory, how can newbs grow if they have no experience with older or more "sane" members?

But then, there is that saying "you can lead a horse to water but you cant make him drink" some newbs never grow up.

I'm torn between yes and no so......I'm neutral. /shrug

I think that hte Admins and Mods having their own extra special 'secret' forum is bad enough.

Yes, the thought that the mods and admins might have things to discuss that don't concern the rest of the DQ community is quite a shokcing one isn't it? Boohoo. There's stuff that involves the site that needs to be discussed without all the carry on of the regular forum topics. The main difference being is that we actually use it most of the time for reasons that are beneficial to the site and in turn to the members, including you. So dry your eyes when you're done.

This idea to me would never work for one very simple reason, who and what would decide that a member is able to 'join' said 'exclusive club'? I'm sure there a lots of members here who feel that they no longer count as new members, but I don't think they possess the maturity much higher than a lot of newcomers. Same goes for a number of brand new members being incredibly mature, more so than a lot of regulars.

All in all to me, while it does have it's merits, will be seen by a few as just a way to make an exclusive club. The mods control the 'noobs' effectively enough in the time that we can. If it's getting too much for a lot of you then I'd advise not posting and retaliating to their carry ons. It only adds fuel to the fire.

Don't get us wrong, though, Silence, it's a decent suggestion and seems plausible in theory, but so does communism and we all know how that ends up.

*Walks away with tail between legs*

Well, you can lock this now. I think I've been pretty much proven wrong.
