First of all, say "new AMERICAN president" not just "new president." Jeez. America is not the only country with a president.

Second of all, no I don't think either Obama or Hillary will be assassinated, but since NEITHER OF THEM ARE PRESIDENTS YET I don't think that's really the question here.

Thirdly, I don't think Bush is going to be assassinated because his remaining term length is so short that only an idiot would assassinate him.

And finally, I therefore do not think that the president will be assassinated and I don't understand why we might think they would be. Assassinations are pretty rare and we've only had 4 successful ones in the history of the USA.

Belief is important, but I don't think it's an issue here. Obama has never shown disrespect for the American flag or the American troops, and Hillary isn't going to be assassinated for being a woman because she isn't even going to be a candidate on the final ballot between McCain and Obama.

Those are the ones who are most likely to take the place as President of the US.
