Hello,
I resently changed to phpBB2 not long ago on my site but it was

hacked shortly after. I got it from some ass I known : [. Anyways the host

admin also said that a couple of thier users has also been hacked.

don't know if I can trust phpBB anymore..

it seems like its really easy to hack it

think the idiot used a bot though.. Cus he used it t register like 250 times

in like an hour. What an ass... : [

Exploits exist in

any software, You cant be secure using anything then on the other hand some

of them got more exploits then others *cough*windows*cough*

Well its more of a targetted

software than a unprotected one, even if it isn't really that secure in the

first place. (Unless it comes with Norton and anti-spyware, which it

doesn't)

So your saying that in order to be protected one should

buy expensive third party software? Now dont get me wrong I use xp on a daily

basic along with osx but as far as my thoughts on that it sucks. I hope MS

borrows more from the *Nix ideas to Vista. They stolen thousands security

ideas from *nix already :)

like phpbb's ui much better than invision, but I think invision in more

secure.

You could always make it so you have to activate your account.

Yeah, I'm pretty

sure it does. If your an admin, you can change that in the Admin Control

Panel.
