View Full Version : Sound plays Late/Early.

Hey everyone. I'm new here, not new to animating though. I was

wondering if anyone here knew how to fix the problem where sound plays early,

sometimes late, on the published version of the animation. It usually happens

when there is alot of sound playing. I find one way to fix it, cut each layer

of sound and put it in a seperate MC but that would be alot of work in a big

collab such as the Massacre. Anyone know another, more efficient, way to do

it?

Thanks in advance.

Btw. Oscar, You got some great

animations. I especially liked "Slakt". Great job.

Glad you liked Slakt :)

I get this problem

in all of my longer movies.

Put a silent sound (10 sec or so) in an

empty layer. Set it to stream and loop. Have this layer played in every scene

in the movie. Tell me if it works, I got another solution if it doesn't.

Oh yeah! Thanks it worked. I

remember that one. I tried it for a movie I had sound problems with before,

but for some reason it didn't help, maybe because the movie was split into

scenes? But anyways, I was curious even though this one worked, what was your

other method.

Thanks again!

Yay it worked. No problem.

This thing occurs

because of some bug in flash, which makes the fps for the sound and video

different. You can time it by changing your fps a little.
I had this

problem in my 24 fps movie. By changing it to 23.96, it works like it

should.

Ahh I see. Must

have taken a bit of experimenting to get that.

Thanks again man.

I used to get this, but there is a very simple way of

sorting it out without doing any blank keyframes or whatever, all you need to

do is go into "File-Publish Settings" then go onto the tab "Flash" and then

there should be a button called "Set" next to audio stream, click on that and

turn bit rate up to about 80kbps and quality to medium.

Makes the

sound quality better, and will sort out your problem alot easier without

moving around sound frames or whatever

That would increase the filesize alot

though

Nah,

not really, but I mean it's worth a few kb because it sounds way better and

keeps the whole thing in sync

A few kbs you say?

Castle went from 5 mb to 10 mb by just a small change in the

sound :P

Haha, damn that's

a pretty big increase just for a small change in sound quality!
