Affiliate Banners

When putting

affilate banners/boxes on a site, is it bad to have the src="Image Source"

code be the image on that individuals site, like Oscar has with the code for

his banners, or should one just save and upload the image to their own

server? Just a simple question so people to yell at me if I source the image

file directly from their site.

Its one small image, so as far as bandwidth is

concerned, I don't think it matters.

I generally prefer to link to

people's websites, so that if they are down, their image goes, and as a

result, you can't see their image. :S
