startin' on a pretty big project that has been delayed because of collabs. I

might be able to work on it tonight, so I'll see if I can take a screenshot.

Although I am in 1 other collab that I'll have to work on mostly before I

told him that you were not, and he obviously disagreed so i persuaded him

after days of bickaring to make a bet, i said that if i submit a simplified

version of a flash on a different acount that you flash users would realise

on the first day that it is not 'Benzines'animation. He agreed and said

that if they did not realise that i owed him a new pair of shoes. It is now a

week and a half later and only now has it been realised, and i have been

proved wrong and have lost money. I hope your all happy you made me loose a

bet and my respect for the lower part of the flash cominity.

I never use it, I animate

the movie inside a graphics symbol and move it outside of the graphics clip

and I add my things on layers above this graphics clip. The vertical lines

are just square edge lines.

Umm. You could make the vcam the exact size of the

stage under the mc properties, and make sure it is aligned to 0,0. Then you

draw two lines on the top and bottom of it and group (ctrl+g) them. Or make

it a symbol, it doesn't really matter.

Go to

the properties menu and somewhere around should be a "loop" option, "play

once", "repeat", etc. That will animate whatever is inside the

graphic.

I recommend you making Movie Clips instead of Graphics if

what you want is a BG to repeat over and over.

If that was not your

question then I didnt understand, ask something concrete.

dont know what you^^ just said. But what I'm talking about, is if you want

to have the Vcam effect and have bars over the top (without having to move

the bars with the Vcam) Animate you movie inside a graphics symbol and scale,

move or rotate the graphics symbol to how you want the Vcam like movements

you want.

So make like a rectangle the size of your movie size and

position it 0,0 and go (Modify>>Convert to symbol) and make it a graphics

symbol. Then go into it and do your animating in there. Then go out of the

graphics symbol and do your changes in Scale, movement and rotation. hard to

explain in text, I made a tutorial on it before. I'll email you it.

a few stray lines, at top and bottom right. sticks head kinda looks like you

drew it poorly instead of having hair. hills could be more off in the

distance, and take away those lines on the hill at the top. they dont look

right.

I'm trying to get my screenshot, but it's

extremely poor quality, shall I post it as swf?

export it as png, this

keeps the vector calculations in most respects to a very fine level. It can

sometimes however be more of less in filesize than a .jpg

Also, make

sure when exporting to .jpg that it is infact, set to full quality, and

transparencies are turned on, etc.

notepad but it's electronic and there's a pen which you can use to draw on

the pad. When you finished, you can send the image to your

computer...
search it on google, I'm not very good at

explaining.

You gotta show me how to do backgrounds sometime, dude...

Seriously..

But one thing that's a problem in your movies... Not

criticizing, really, just saying something you could improve

upon...

You use the "blur" feature provided in Flash 8 just a wee bit

too much, and Flash has to process that blur every frame, which bogs down the

frame rate. Also, you like to ANIMATE the blurs as well, which is a double

whammy. Ever consider just using Photoshop instead? Sure, it may take

awhile, but you get a wider variety of types of blurs, it comes out playing

smoother in the movie, and it doesn't look like it's done on an X-Y plane

like in Flash.

A lot of animators like to use that feature for some

reason, and I have no idea why. I mean, it looks so

fake!

Actually, you'd be suprised that I

don't use it that much, just that screen right there.

export it as png, this keeps the vector calculations in most

respects to a very fine level. It can sometimes however be more of less in

filesize than a .jpg

Also, make sure when exporting to .jpg that it is

infact, set to full quality, and transparencies are turned on,

etc.

I didn't know jpg's could be transparent :o

EDIT: Wow that looks shitty, It

looks a lot better in Flash, it's darker and that brown stain blends

better.

Well my part is more like a splice of

worlds, the main character is etrius and he makes his way through all the

different worlds and people tag along. (ei grenade man) So it is only a

partial remake but with a focus upon etrius and his sword :)

A gradient fading floor with

the pencil tool lines, not that hard, but makes a nice effect.

I didn't really notice at first, and as long as you keep that

screen for under 10 seconds then peploe will still be focused on the main

Zombie, especially if you give them something else to listen to.

Maybe

the growling of the zombies, the antagonist, swinging his sword, whatever

floats your boat.
