View Full Version : I just had a lucid dream

Here's how it worked -

I'm starting to walk

on a wooden bridge over a small river. As I walk along it I see it's just

floating on the water and that it just suddenly ends. When I reach the point

where it ends, I realise I'm dreaming for some reason. I've decided that

flying should be the first thing to try whenever I have a lucid dream, so I

jump up in the sky and try.

I'm starting to levitate and I'm getting

higher and higher into the sky. I see my hometown, the trees below me, the

river and everything getting smaller. I then start soaring through the sky

flying and it actually works. This is so awesome, I think to myself.

I

then wake up and look around in my own room, and I see my buddy, who I start

telling the whole dream for. I'm excited and all so I decide to write the

dream down in my dreamjournal while I still remember it. As I write I get the

feeling I may still be dreaming, so I'm trying a reality test but the whole

thing fades out very quickly and I wake up for real - it was just a false

awakening.

So I wake up and write it down for real, and it felt

awesome that I had a lucid dream

I once dreamed I was going along a road with a dead city on the

one side and trees at the other. Then I was together with some pple who

appearently should be my friends. then some guy behind me chased me and shot

me in the back. then I hid in some bushes. The pain from the wound in my back

slowly stopped and then I was healed by some one else. pretty wierd

dream.
Ever tried to dream those dreams where you fall down from a cliff

or just somewhere high? I once realized it was a dream and just before I hit

the ground, I began to fly.
Anyone tried those dreams where you have to

decide a way or decide if you should follow a person or not? Got 'em lots of

times lol.

I have tried to dream I woke up and then I woke up for

real just right after.
Dreams are quite interesting from time to time. .

Whenever I'm trying to run away from something in a

dream, it feels like I'm wading through water, it's annoying, I also have

really bad vision, like my eyes are only partially open.

There was

this one dream where I was in this hotel with this woman, and we were both

undressing and getting ready for some hawt secks, but as usual; I woke up

before anything happened

Meh. I have lots of weird dreams. I

don't really know which one to tell =P

Netrosis

I never used to have

any dreams until within the last few months, which is really

weird.

BTW, do you classify a dream, as one that you are the victim

of, like a TV show where your mind is playing it back to you in your

sleep?

Or are dreams, the "visions" you have of things you want to do

in life, potential achievments, etc.?

Anyway, I never fully

wake up unless I die somehow. I have only ever really woken up from a dream

that way, dieing or drowning, being hit with something. A good example is

riding a bike and going head over heels facefirst onto the road or smashing

into a car or being decapitated by crazy zombies with huge swords. The other

day, I spent 22 hours sleeping, dropping in and out of a dream, unable to

move out of my bed until I finished the dream, its a very freaky experience,

and I want to go back to not dreaming.

I think its a weird feeling,

you goto sleep, and you wake up, but the feeling is not instant, like, you

don't simply goto sleep then wake up, its like a lost sense of memory that

you know time has passed but you will never remember it.

Some of the

weirdest dreams I've had were nightmares about my job. A checkouts operator

at a grocery store, scary stuff really. But my worst fear about my job is the

fact that my hands will contantly get cut, I dunno if its the cold or

something, but usually when scanning a packet of meat, the bone will tear

through its plastic, and one time I got a rather nasty cut. But what worries

me about the cuts is handling money, it would so easy to somehow contract

something nasty from it, particularly something like HIV, AIDS or other

contagious illness. Money is the largest germ carrier in our

society.

Other nightmares are of unsightly and disgusting customers

whom have no respect or manners. I get coughed on alot, alot of the time

people with bad breath or odours and I choke on their smell. I've had these

"green bags" where people have cloth bags they take home and return and

stuff, one lady had a can of cat food or something leak in it, left it in her

car. needless to say I opened the bag, the smell wafted me and I nearly

fainted, it was that bad.

Sorry for hijacking the thread Oscar

:(

But yeah, I'd rather not dream at all.
The worst dreams are of

skydiving, you just keep falling and falling and falling and screaming and

falling and falling and then WHACK, and whoopee, I've phyiscally jumped out

of my bed, somehow.

mmn. sorry

I always remember dreams where something bad

happens to me like where my family threw me into the river from a bridge and

then I land on some boat. I look around the boat to see if anyone was around.

I find a room full of skeletons and blood covered walls. The skeletons come

to life. They take me into the room and... I forget what they did. That was

years ago.

I also get wierd dreams sometimes. Like today or not long ago I

work up in my dream and I was all like disapointed not finnishing the dream,

but then I woke up for real and I was all like. Whoa how can I wake up in my

dream?

Also another time I was sleeping, I dreamt the scariest shit

ever. When I woke up. I was so scared I couldn't close my eyes again. It was

about 5am and I just layed there in bed untill everyone else woke up. It was

the scariest dream i'v ever experienced in my life. It was about 6 months

ago.

When I was younger I remember dreaming dreams I already dremt

about. They where like duplicates.

In my 8th grade lit/comp class. We

where having a long discution about dreams. One thing we talked about is that

if you never witness or seen in your life. You wouldn't dream it in your

dreams. An example is if you never punched someone or where in a fight. You

wouldn't be able to fight in your dream (a student in class explained how

she couldn't punch someone in her dream because she never fought, or a

student drowned not knowing how to swim in real life). Oscar probably flew in

a plane so in his dream he started to fly, or maybe even he played a game

where he gets to fly. idk.

Also I don't think people can die in their

dreams, because not witnessing how death feels life. Like what Killing_Time

said. Her wounds healed. Plus, when you fall of a cliff, you probably don't

die. You just wake up right away from being scared of dieing or somthing. If

you witness death in a dream in not sure you would even wake up.

I've dreamed that I could fly before, like when I

was only 5 years old and hadn't been in an airplane yet. It's actually a

pretty common dream I think

Well, I

remember a few dreams where I actually died. in of them, I was with a team of

some soldiers and i was also in uniform and all. Then we were sent out to my

old house we lived in the first 3 years of my life. in the middle of the yard

there was a little old shack where the one part of the team (including me)

should sit and wait while the others was going to check the area around the

stables.
All of the sudden, me and the part of the team I was with, hear

shooting and screams from the rest of the team who was checking the area. A

few of us reaches to get outside and begin to shoot and shout commands but

I'm so scared that i can't move a bit. and I keep sitting there looking at

the entrance. all of the sudden some of the enemies comes in and one of them

looks at me like eye to eye. I place my hands in front of my head and he/she

shoots me. in the head. First, it's all white and with gray shades here and

there floating around and I hear this tinitus-like noice yet, it's not as

high as a tinitus sound. My head hurts in some way as I feel the bullet but

it's like when you're dizzy yet, the pain is a bit softer. then things

starts getting black and I feel like I'm weightless just as when you get

that stuff by the dentist just here, your body done turn around your head.

then I see some white light again but this wasn't as the first. this is

softer and more gentle in some way and then. . . I wake up. -_-

In

the other dreams, it feels kinda similar to that explenation.

ReptileKing
August 2nd, 2006, 11:10 PM
Well, an explanation to that is that you can dream about things

you have heard about.
Like youre dream about dieing and floating around in

some sort of space, that is a normal explanation for "near death experienses"

and therefor youre brain gets an image of that and you see it in youre

dream.
But since noone knows what is beyond that last light you woke up

before you saw what was there.

Killing_Time
August 3rd, 2006, 12:08 AM
Well, those near death experiences I have heard about is where

the person can see itself's body or he/she sees His/hers dead family and

some light creatures or a dark tunnel with light in the end. this experience

I had in this dream was far from similar to anything I have heard.
In the

one hand, then I would have liked to know, what happened after the second

light but in the other, then I think i want top wait some years.

hehe

it's been weeks since last time I had a scary dream. Scary, as in I have no

control of what there is going to happen. It's much funnier when you can

kick the bad guy's butt, than when you are trying to run away while your

scream for help is nothing more than a little sound that no one ever will

hear.

Killing_Time

lol so . . you remember what it was about..?
As far as I

know, then one get nightmares because of stress, fear of something or bad

experiences happened in the near past. There's probably also other reasons

of nightmares which I havent written.
I once dreamed that i kicked some

guys butt from school - right in front of his dad's eyes! It was kinda

awesome actually. . . Mainly because I hate the guy more than anything else

(nearly. .)
Anyways, anyone ever tried to dream they were chased

by something?
I once dreamed I was chased by wolfes in a forest with

black trees. and wolfes are like my favorite animal.
