I'm having a problem with logging out. If I still on DQ for a long time and then press the log out button, it becomes black and white as it does when logging out but the "Are you sure you want to log out" mini window does not appear at all and the computer freezes for a few secs/mins before the window does come up, allowing me to log out and unfreeze everything.

I'm using Internet Explorer btw. Is the browser the issue here?

Reporting no problems under KHTML or Gecko engines under Linux and Windows. Check your alternate browsers.

I remember others have had log out problems too, though for them it was a different problem (Appearing as a guest on the frontpage but a user on the forums). I just really recommend you clear cache and cookies first and if that doesn't help, try another browser and see if that has any effect.

Are you sure it's the entire computer that freezes when this happens or just the browser? I don't know much about these things, but if it takes so long for the browser to handle the log out function it might be a compatibility issue in which case you gotta update your browser or get another one.

that's happening for me, appearing as a guest until I go on the forums... it's not bad, just annoying :P

If you're using a really old version of Internet Explorer that's probably the issue here. If not, I can't say I've ever had the same problem. Like KT suggested, try clearing your cookies/cache and log back in again.

It's definitely problem of a too old browser. I used IE7, upgraded to IE9, no problems anymore.
I use Firefox, though.

Shinoi, did you have the log out problem in the first place?

Never in Firefox. But when I tried with IE7, I had exact same problem. But there are no problems in Safari, for example.

Well, in that case I think we can recommend Kenneth to simply upgrade his internet explorer.

I got this problem at school some time ago because they didn't update IE and firefox. Just hit ctrl + alt + delete and that "log out window" will magically appear.

Huh? That opened a log out view in your browser for DQ? Sounds more like log out of your actual school account.

Huh? That opened a log out view in your browser for DQ?Yep, we did that when websites refused to display log out windows, or pop-ups, whatever they're called.

When I was in Finland I used school computers from time to time and had to do the same as TOH.

I would suggest using Chrome. It' one of the most stable, has more customization, and I haven't had any trouble with it so far.

As for logging out, I just close the tab/browser, avoiding having to go to log out every time.
