Whenever I click this little thing http://forums.deletionquality.net/images/buttons/lastpost-right.png it links me back like 2-20 replies instead of taking me to the last post. I always end up browsing pages or scrolling.

I don't remember when this bug showed up, I kinda got used to it. But reporting doesn't hurt I guess.

This bug has been documented on:

Windows 32/64-bit Chrome, IE and Firefox
Windows XP 32-bit Chrome, IE and Firefox

I had it for a while but eventually it just went away. It might be cache/cookies related but I doubt it since you've tried it on different browsers.

If it's not a cache/cookies issue it simply has to do with vbulletin itself. If we can confirm this somehow I could post a bug report at the official site.

Can you post a few of the links/urls that you've clicked on?Will do when the bug shows up again.

EDIT http://forums.deletionquality.net/showthread.php/11262-Personal-News-Thread-2?p=313388#post313388

Loaded DQs home page and clicked "Personal News Thread #2" under "LATEST FORUM POSTS". Last post was Banhammors but I got linked to Zola.

EDIT 2 I went back to DQs home page again and hit the "Personal News Thread #2" link. Banhammors post showed up...

EDIT 3 Seems like "LATEST FORUM POSTS" on DQ's home page is the problem. I was about to read Polo's post in "Post Pictures of yourself" on page 131 but got linked to page 130 and Shadowtime23's post.

Alright I think I know what's going on. The link you click on the front page doesn't link you to the latest post, instead it links you to the last unread post in that thread, associated with your account/browser/cookie information. This is why the link has the &goto=newpost in the end of the URL. If I remove that and just specify the highest post id number you'd get to the last post instead.

Not really a bug, it just doesn't do what you would expect. :) I'll probably fix that in DQ v6 though.

But I still don't know why those little arrows http://forums.deletionquality.net/images/buttons/lastpost-right.png keep linking me back to previous posts and pages. (I don't have any bugged links atm)

... instead of taking me to the last post.
I'm not sure what you mean by this. You probably know but; the little double-arrow symbol will link you to the actual post that was quoted. It's not supposed to take you to a last post. Click mine in the quote above and you'll end up at your own post.

Is your point that you end up on another post? One that wasn't quoted?

Ah, I see. I guess if you don't go to the last post, there's something fishy. I did on the posts I tried though. I'll probably remove that icon entierly.

I'll probably remove that icon entierly. Please don't, those icons are great (when they work properly). They save us from lots of page browsing and scrolling.
