(Victory gave me the go-ahead)

=Background=
The days on the earth had changed in length dramatically over the many millennia yet the people never did, evolution sure wasn’t doing much to humans. Maybe it was the lack of obstacles in our way of becoming the dominant species. Maybe it was the fact that we made our environment change to suit us which kept us the same. There’s a lot to be said about us never leaving behind a pretty mark on the planet, even though it changed enough for other species to, giving us plenty of chances. Domestic animals grew the quickest… Perhaps it was the way they lived with us. Other animals simply became stronger, weaker, or just changed into an entirely new entity. It doesn’t matter much anymore, those that weren’t smart enough to make a connection to a human perished along with the planet. The sun didn’t go supernova, Earth simply plunged into it as it grew in size over the millions of years. The 50,000 intelligent life forms in the last 5 ships leaving the solar system witnessed the most beautiful display as the planetary nebula burst forth from the sun as it began to shrivel and begin new life as a dwarf star. By then life on earth was ancient history not even known to them, life had moved on to the many moons of Jupiter… And even that by now in this story is ancient history.

The recorded year is said to be around 7 billion since humans started to take notice all those lifetimes ago. The correct date is not of any relevance, once the Andromeda galaxy flung itself through the weak gravity of the Milky Way the 1.1 million earthly life forms on the makeshift space stations were pulled into the Andromeda and they watched as the collisions and shifts in gravity allowed them to view the familiar star systems slip away at a fantastic speed…

Life for Humans in this far away era is very different, science has made everything we crave to exist unfathomably easy to obtain and mortality is a dying concept too as life spans have been increased by 200% thanks to millions of years of cell division research, to put it bluntly, the only thing left to worry about is death. And we definitely have that to worry about; Andromeda had sectors teeming with life forms which some were less friendly than others, and intelligent beings capable of travelling at light speed and faster still. A whole new diplomatic concept existed, and humans (not to mention anything else from that old blue planet long lost to us) were a foreign intrusion…

Premise: You (Player) are a being from either Andromeda or the good ol’ Milky Way, most life exists on space stations and ships but planets still teem with life (Charted or uncharted) Andromeda’s life are known as Andromedites and they are the dominant life, most hostile and militant towards anything from the Milky May, which are known as Sagittarians (Sagittarius was the last known star sign as it lay in the direction of the centre of the Milky Way, it became a bit of a conceptual identifier for the range of species). Most Sagittarians are persecuted, sold into slavery or on the run as fugitives. However some peaceful systems in the galaxy exist though not enough to be noticed. As a being you can take any fictional intelligent form other than human, anything humanoid, furry, squidy whatever. You can make up any race and be whatever you want as long as it’s intelligent.

=Character Example=
Name: Kurt MacReady (Appearance based upon Kurt Russell as RJ MacReady from The Thing)
Species: Human
Gender: Male
Age: 39
Profession: Engineer
Appearance: Medium-long brown hair, beard, grey eyes, medium build.
Visual Reference: http://tinyurl.com/6x5yekc
Personality: Kurt is a harsh conversationalist who prefers to get right to the point and dismisses small talk. He is capable of interacting sensitively under unfamiliar circumstances if he thinks it would be best to keep things calm. He drinks heavily although not enough to be considered to be an alcoholic. Kurt is not too friendly towards Andromedites as he thinks he should not waste his time being polite and cheerful o something that thinks he is a pest.
History: Kurt has lived most of his life aboard a small ship originally designed for VIP interstellar cruises, although it was put to use as a fugitive safe place. As a child Kurt was raised by his mother as well as she could, food was always scarce for Sagittarians to obtain from merchants and entertainment even more, even with all the scientific remedies to such situations. Kurt had no real choice but to learn engineering while aboard the ship and soon became the only man capable of fixing it when it got damaged. Unfortunately Kurt learned the hard way about the militant Andromeda Alliance when his ship settled in an unexplored sector in search for fresh water; the ship was nearly destroyed and damaged to an irreparable state. Luckily Kurt and the rest of the ships passenger’s survived long enough to learn of a space station in the Neutral area in which they could dock…
