Mim-ic. Short 3D animation

It's the latest work just finished in school. We just had a 3D animation course where we asked to make a short film on max 30 seconds. Ours turned out being 45 seconds long but I think that was for the best of it.

Basically, we didn't have any time to spend on modeling, rigging or texturing - so the environments we did put together are pretty plain. That's also why no one has any clothes :buddy: The character is a pre-rigged model by Anders Freij(a 3D animator from Sweden who we had doing some lectures for us) and the skeleton rig by Brad Noble (3D pro from Australia).

I had the honor of animating the actual mimic guy and the environments. Other credits goes to my friends Oskar Kjelleryd(Carrier to the left) and Robert Lindahl(Carrier on the right). My teacher Peter Linejung was also nice enough to actually do the voice-acting for us.

Great smoothness when the workers pull up the box and the mime's feet go with it.

Well, sadly we didn't have time to do actual work on modeling etc. It would have been awesome to make the clothes and texture everything but we had to pass the course in time. Also it's quite bizarre.

Just pointing this out: You may have difficulty to understand french sounds. I haves friends that have the same problem as you, don't worry.

Edit (as everybody wrote a little something in french): J'aime beaucoup ton animation, Oscar. C'est très bien fait mais ça aurait été bien que vous ayez eu plus de temps pour mieux travailler les personnages. :thumbsup:

But anyways, that was cool, Oscar. Keep developing the application and it could turn out really kick ass, as if it already isn't.

This came off kinda creepy to me, lol... Probably the models

It was pretty good, seemed kinda fidgity though and some of the spacing seemed off on the different parts of the body which made the flow a bit odd and unnatural. Also expressions looked too artificial, but you probably didn't have too much control over how that worked out. Otherwise another good example of the variety of things you're capable of doing = )
