The two first - I have never notified Castle's music too much.
Castle does, indeed, have an epic story. Better than i have seen before in flash, even in most real movies. Castle truly has Hollywood potential, a scene and the tricks to become a big budget movie. Which, however, needs to be done wisely.
The graphics in Castle are all on their own level. No other stick animation has even reached the same.

Rusty there says the truth, though I thought I like it because of the epic story, the graphics are indeed better then any other stick animation's. I go with all.

For the music, I just had to make up one more choice. If the poll only had 3 choices it would be lame. :-3

My favorite part about Castle would have to be the graphics and themes along with atmosphere. Easily said, Castle has the best potential any stick animation could squeeze ot, and even rivals many other great ones.
And while I never was too impressed with most of the story in a whole, the themes and atmosphere are all executed perfetly, most noticably in Castle 3 Part B. Tht one part pretty much single handily beat the atmosphere in any parts of Repercussions, though Boomer's monolouge came close.
EDIT: Still, when I said I wasn't impressed by the story, I was judging it by professional standards. When put together with all the other similar web animations, Castle tops them all.

I'd agree with Kreek here. Although the storyline may not be executed that well, the graphics, music and atmosphere is the best I've seen of any stick animation.

I love castle in every way, the music is pretty good, the soundtracks create a perfect atmosphere, the graphics are the best and yeah it's epic

Pffft Stickpuppetstudios made WAY better animations then Oscar. (Yeah I know that joke sucks...)
The story is good when so many flash animations just skip it in favor of pointless combat.
The graphics are now brilliant. It is a visual feast to watch.
The music in repercussions is great while in the over ones it wasn't as memorable but in repercussions it fit well into the action/story.
Don't know why a thread like is needed I mean most people here love Castle in every way so asking them what they love about and having a 'love it in every way option is just stupid'. Just look at the poll it pretty much speaks for itself.

Actually this thread slightly can relate itself to a minor "review" thread for Castle. You can say what you liked, or if you simply loved everything, much like how critics will often comment about movies. And even though we all do pretty much love it in every way, it's still a good chance to say what parts we liked more than others.

The fact that this guy had to ask means that he is a total noob, is he waiting for our opinions before he watches it?
-There's a decent storyline (whcih takes a bit of time to fully establish itself, although the plot is definitely thickening) interspersed with well played out combat scenes, there's no overkill there or mindless violence. The characters are also quite developed (see Boomer's monologue) although some may argue that they're clichéd
-There's epic music, we praise Aleksander Vinter the lord of atmospheric music. He could build tension in a movie where you watch paint dry.
-The graphics are in their own league, I've seen fantastic graphics before in non-stick flash animations but this is something else. No stick animation I've ever seen has ever come close to Oscar's work.
So you ask: why do I like Castle? I ask: Have you been living under a rock or are you just trying to wind us up?
Anyway the poll says it all, all 100% of it.

The fact that this guy had to ask means that he is a total noob, is he waiting for our opinions before he watches it?
Noob is a strong word. It's not that he's without his own opinions, he just wants to hear some of ours. What's wrong with that?
And though most of us love Castle in almost everyway, try not to forget that there still are people who think some parts are less impressive or even fall short compared to others(Or in vice versa, loves it due to one aspect much more over the others, even if he does love it all), and this is a place they can voice their opinions of it.

Okay I take back that he's a noob, but even so, there are few people on this forum that dislike Castle outright. To be honest with a little bit of searching he would have found threads related to this topic that would have given him an idea of pople's feelings towards castle.

Well there's also a reason to why there are so many copies of the same thread also. Because, as time passes people's opinion's sometimes change, and in the case of DQ, new members have also flocked in in the gap of time between which the threads were made, who also bring in new opinions of their own. So basically, as long as they're not too close together (I have barely seen any threads related to opinions of Castle recently), there's not too much a problem in making a new thread.
And I never said anyone would dislike Castle outright. Just that people's thoughts about something may be diverse at times.

Castle you are not a noob.
There is two ways to tell a noob.
1 they talk like "Wut up dig " ya im not fluent in leet strangely, But i can speak misgrammer and miskey just fine.
2 they hang out with me.
...
so any one up for a pizza.
Also the thing is that these threads die so people aren't sure what to do so they make a new one or just don't see it in the list so they think nobody has made one before.

Me I like castle beacause I like any kind of animation and the graphics are the bomb, the voice actors are very good and dramatic, I dont care for the story line but that is somethin I never worry about in any kind of video, it has action, it is very creative, and I think it is very well done.

Why I like Castle:
»Epic Storyline: The Castle story is quite nicely woven; it's actually a story of betrayal rather than a story of slaughtering herds of demons to save the world. If it was like that, it would be cheesy.
»Graphic Animations=Awesome!: As Oscar said, he started it as a stick animation, and it will end as one. So over the years, he developed better and awesome graphics to impress the audience members. And, no stick animator (yet) has ever reached the quality of the graphics in their own animations.
»Superb Music: Aleksander Vinter (Russian, I presume) is an excellent composer, and is able to express the dynamics of the Castle story, and pull the audience members inside the animation. The sound effects are nicely made, and even the calm music is cool enough to keep you awake.
»The Work: Oscar and his crew put all the energy and effort into this, so why not congratulate them, heartily?
And these are my reasons.

Grrr...Y'know what? I like the idea of this thread.
We haven't had a good one like this in a long while.
I, of course, voted the last choice.
I think what got me hooked was not JUST graphics, music, or plot, though those are excellent reasons, to say the least.
It was simply the fact that before I found Castle, all the other stick figure crap I've seen...even the games I played that seemed to have something that resembled "plot", or a point, more or less...was just bogus.
Like, ok, some of it could've had a plot, but...in reality, it was just cliche'. When you got right down to it, it was the same old pointless comedy or merciless killing of said stick figures. The graphics were pretty good, but still.
Castle was the first thing I've seen that took this unique art SERIOUSLY. It gave the animating style of stick figures PERSONALITY.
When you take things like Killing Spree or other such things...they're fine...but I still don't get the serious feeling I do with Castle.
And THAT'S why I love Castle so much. :D

I do love Castle. The best part so far was the way The Last Stand turned out. It was amazing and well planned out. I can not stop watching it. Oscar works really hard and does more than the normal freelance animator and he has good connections and good friends that help him with his movie, voices, website, etc.
One thing we can all agree on (grudgingly or not) is that Oscar is not a pro. Shocking I know, but he has willing admitted to this (several times in fact) and some scenes have defects in them. On a whole, however, the graphics are decent given that he is using the less detailed, but less complicated, systems. In big productions, they have teams of animators, obviously, and the better systems. They majored in computer animation.
He has decent actors and is one of them. Most people would not go to these lengths to make such a unique and spectacular movie on his or her computer. That is what makes it so amazing and that is why I love his work. GOOD JOB OSCAR! WE SALUTE YOU!

I love how people are saying that it's the best stick figure animation. The fact is, folks, that it's also one of the best flash animations period, so I'll talk about it compared to other full-body flash animations.
The character graphics are simplistic, compared full-body anims. However, the set design is great. The team is supposed to be searching an ancient castle that's filled with demons, and the fear and mind-fuckery that the castle is supposed to create is perfectly created.
Spanning 12 animations, including the prologue, Castle is probably the biggest Flash series out there that has a cohesive narrative. Also, it is very epic. I can't get enough of Sci-Fi Fantasy stuff, and that's exactly what we have here. Alternate dimensions with demons that have telekinesis? Sign me up!
Now, instead of talking about just the music, I'll also talk about the voice acting. I'll start with the music.
Much of the soundtrack is either big orchestral pieces, fast-paced techno, or death metal. Seeing as these are my three favorite types of music, I love the music. But, that doesn't always mean it fits the setting. In this case, however, it does. The orchestral parts Give it a feeling of epicness, while the techno and metal give it a tone of dark awesomeness during the fight scenes.
The voices are some of the best I've heard in a flash animation. Few anims have voices, and they usually aren't well done. The microphones are low-quality, or the people just aren't good actors. In Castle, it's completely different.
So, yeah, everything in Castle is top-notch.

All of this series is amazing. Every little bit.
The story is deep and enveloping (Can't wait for Castle IV, by the way).
The music really sets the mood like no other. Even just the music in Castle III B where they are leaving the fortress. The repetitive guitar with the booming drums... Just makes you think shit is soon to go down.
The graphics are like no other I've seen in a Flash video. Hell, before Castle III, I didn't even know half that was POSSIBLE using Flash.
The whole series is just amazing, down to the very last microscopic detail (Except for Castle I). Even just the still-image Prologue was a thrill ride for the mind (A replica of the Wise One's sword would be amazing... Just hang it on my wall XD).

Dash, you have no idea about Castle.
-you don't know they are gay( probably not )
-try to roll over floors yourself( maybe painful )
-those 'stone houses' are castles( never seen one? )
-all zombies look the same( bloody, smelly, brainless, dead )
